About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Super slow paced
The price is great, but there is no driving range and the pace was extremely slow! It took 3 hours to get through 9 holes so I left and didn’t even get to finish out the back 9. I’m a brand new golfer, but I couldn’t believe how backed up each hole was and how much people were screwing around and delaying everyone else behind them. This was disappointing and I don’t think I’ll be going back.
Weird Layout
It was so crazy busy that they ran out of carts and started pairing complete strangers up to play so instead of my husband and I playing alone we played with 2 other men. It turned out ok though. They were really nice and that part was fun. But because there was so many people, we did not even get to finish our 18 holes because it just got too late in the day. The other thing and I think this was the worst thing, the layout of some of the holes actually crossed each other and there were many times throughout the afternoon that we were literally dodging golf balls that were being hit from other holes and hitting the carts and the areas we were standing. Need a hard hat to play here.
TERRIBLE PACE OF PLAY
I have been playing here for years and usually love the course but the pace of play just gets worse. Had a tee time for 11:06 and just finished 9 (it is 2:09), 3 hours to play 9 is ridiculous. We only saw the ranger one time and he was hardly helpful for the pace of play. I get that it's a public course but somebody needs to figure something out.
Nice quick little course
Getting 18 done in under 4 hours is always a plus. The greens were in really good shape

Always a fun time
I took my wife to play her first real 18 here and we both loved it. She also loved we didn’t have to pay $60 for her in case she felt like she didn’t want to play anymore.
Good Challenge and Conditions for the $$$
Anyone who plays here knows it has a tough layout - tight fairways and raised greens, large bunkers and difficult pin placement. I like it because it’s unique to anywhere else nearby especially in my budget. Tee boxes and greens are recently quite nice especially considering price. Great bunkers too.
Fun course
This is a really nice course. It is well maintained and fun to play.
Great course
I reserved on the TeeOff app but when I got there and told the guy at the front desk, he charged me regularly price. I went back and told him he charged me too much and he was not very pleasant. Seemed annoyed that he had to refund me and do it over.
Felt very uncomfortable.
Excellent course
Today I took my son to play this course for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. The staff we encountered were friendly, including the starter and ranger. The greens, tee boxes, bunkers, and fairways were all in great condition. The carts were very nice as well. This course impressed me especially with the price for such a well kept course. The one thing we didn’t like was that there is no range. There are practice greens though. We will be back
