About
Countryway Golf Club is an executive golf course that is known for its extremely affordable rates. Situated in the heart of Westchase, it is considered one of the best values in Tampa Bay. The layout consists of eleven par-3 holes and seven par 4s. The golf course is challenging enough for more advanced golfers but it is still player-friendly enough for beginners to enjoy. The rolling terrain provides undulations in both the greens and fairways. The hills also make for some challenging putts. There is no shortage of water at Countryway Golf Club with hazards coming into play on 14 holes. There are also bunkers strategically placed throughout.

Pace of play
People are great but pace of play was terrible on this round
Rough Shape
I don’t know what happened but this course is in rough shape right now. I’m sure with all the afternoon rain showers we have been getting, it doesn’t help with maintenance. Could use a lot of TLC.
Going downhill
I've played here for 3 years. Course has never been in this bad of shape. The greens are a goat ranch. Impossible to make putts. They are finally working on cart paths but totally forgetting the greens. Really disappointing.
Did not Get to Play
Booked a tee a lot for 1-2 people. Was told I would have to go with someone else, explained that my daughter was on the spectrum and told I would have to go with someone, because they were “busy”. No one was waiting with exception of one individual when I went back in the pro shop. I asked if I could just pay for my daughter as a golfer, but again they were busy and we should come back later in the day. I said it was hotter at that time and she is just a kid. Again the starter claimed they were busy. On top of that the starter came in to intimidate/explain his view. Really busy if he’s in there defending his-self. My response to my review was that they were really busy, which wasn’t true, and that they only schedule foursomes, again not true. There were two groups from my tee time at 11:07a till I left the parking lot at around 12 noon. One individual, that didn’t have to wait for anyone else and a group of three who did not have to have a 4th. I thought this would be a great experience for my daughter but turned out to not be. Read all the reviews before you go. I may try a different course but this experience, at a family friendly course, has left a bad taste in my mouth.
Great atmosphere and price
The Price is right! Atmosphere is great! The greens are just not that great. Still love to come here and play.
I haven’t played Countryway in quite a long time. It’s always been a good course to practice since most of the holes are quite short. The course was in fairly good condition except for the greens. Weeds, and bare spots made it difficult to judge and execute putts.
