Good Course, Rough Shape
I played Roger’s Park yesterday. I think this is only the second time I have gotten to play all 18 holes. The pace of play is usually unbearable. However, yesterday it was fairly fast. I teed off at 1pm. The course was in rough shape. This could be due in part to heavy rains the last few weeks which might have caused some of the grass to be killed off. When this course is dried out it usually in much better condition. The green were being seeded so they were bumpy. I don’t want to judge it too harshly. It’s an old-style course so there are plenty of tree-lined fairways. It’s also very much a Floridian course so it has its fair share of marsh to hit over or around. It’s a fair set up. I played from the tips. It can be narrow in some spots so it hitting the fairway is a premium. I will be playing there again next weekend for a church tournament. Hopefully it will be dried out and in better condition then.
Haven’t played here I awhile
Liked the course, layout, fairways and greens in pretty good shape and a good price. 45 minutes away so haven’t bee here a lot but will come more often. Guys working on the course, pro shop, etc all friendly, customer focused (lady working bar counter use some training).
Good
Overall course was good. They had tree company on the property but it didn’t effect play too bad. It was just a little noisy for a couple holes. Greens were a little slow and fairways didn’t give much row. Fairways needed cutting but with all the rain that was acceptable. It’s a fun course and always will be back. The older guy on the clubhouse was a little rude. We were told we were starting on the back, when asked why he said “ cause the boss said so. “ When we got to the front nine and saw the trucks for the tree service we knew why. No big deal.
Great course
Course is in great shape. Fairways are always in great shape
Decent track
Course was in average condition. Fairways were good condition. Greens were still sandy from aeration 3 weeks ago?? Most ofbthe greens were in good condition. 3 holes had greens that had bare spots but luckily pins were placed away from them. The tee boxes were uneven but at least had plenty of grass. Overall a good track and 4 hour with a 7:30am tee time. Would play again Hopefully in just a little better condition.
Nice Average Course
Overall the tee boxes and fairways were in good condition, the greens had just been aerated and sanded again so it would have been considerate to let customers know ahead of time or slash the prices for a round. Overall good experience but the greens could not justify paying $50, more like $30-35
Very straight but fun. Excellent condition staff were all very friendly
