About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Worst course I’ve ever played
I won’t even waste my time trying to write a review of this course. It doesn’t deserve it. Do not play.
Rough
Roughs on some holes have zero grass. Greens have crabgrass on them close to the fringe.
Conditions
The course is not in great shape, but can't beat it for the price.

IT'S GOING DOWNHILL
THE COURSE WAS SOGGY AND WET AND PUDDLES OF MUD ON THE CART PATHS. IF FROM RAIN, IT RAINED TWO WHOLE DAYS BEFORE WE PLAYED. DRAINAGE IS BAD. GREENS WERE PRETTY GOOD. BUT THIS COURSE IS NOT TOO CONDUCIVE TO SENIORS RIDING BECUASE THERE IS A LOT OF WALKING ANYWAY.
Sorry to hear about your experience. We are actively working to improve the golf course for example watering the golf course which does unfortunately cause some puddles mostly in areas not in play. We will continue to work on the golf course. Thank You and look forward to having you back out.

Very disappointing
Greens were slow but in good condition. Lots of grass missing from fairways. Long grass in other areas (near the green). There was a lot of standing water with zero rain the whole week prior or longer. A lot of holes were cart path only due to all the mud. Not sure if sprinklers were broken and running causing puddles or what. Virtually no yard markers except the very occasional 150 marker. No yardages posted at the tee boxes. No drink carts. Based on condition of course, didn't trust that the water coolers are maintained, so didn't want to chance getting water from them. Won't be back and certainly would NIT recommend

Over this summer we are actively working on a few projects which include growing the grass on some areas. We recently have been Cart Path only on some holes due to the seed we put down for this project. I can assure you that the water is changed and iced daily and is safe to drink. Unfortunately, in the summer, when we are slower, we do not have the beverage cart during the week. We apologize for not notifying you when you checked in. Bug spray ( mosquitoes)
The course was good has a few spots that had mud or standing water causing muddy conditions. Also make sure you bring bug spray Off due to mosquitoes being present. Other than that you would had thunk they would have built bathrooms by now instead of the Porta- potties still being present here. Course is a nice layout and challenging as well.

Terrible Experience
Brutal course conditions, understandable that summer is off season for golf but there is really no excuse for how poorly maintained this course is. Less than 50% of tee boxes mowed, grass clippings in huge piles, unless you play ball out of bounds very hard to find in left overs and extremely high grass of fringe. Tons of chewed up golf balls and trash all over course, sprinklers randomly turn on while playing, we didn’t even finish our front 9 was so frustrating looking ofor balls hit in middle of fairway and just disappearing. It was the worst course, hands down that I have ever golfed!
Water everywhere
Course was in pretty poor shape. Standing water everywhere. Mud everywhere. Mosquito infested.

Great value
Had another great experience here, course is very well maintained and very friendly staff. Honestly a great bang for the buck. The pace was a bit slow but as we were in no hurry. It was not an issue. Will certainly go back.
