About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Pace of play
Took 6 hours to complete our round and a Marshall was no where to be found. Course was in good shape. But not regulating pace of play made for a poor experience.
Repair needed
This course use to be well kept up. As I was driving to the course I called my son and told him I was playing Kokopelli Golf course he’s said it was in such poor shape that his friends won’t play there again, I how see why. They were patchy fairways greens that need receding. I just overall course condition was poor. I like Kokopelli but unfortunately it needs a lot of work. Just my opinion.

Course in much better shape than when we played in 2023.

Great layout
Course conditions suspect and washrooms deplorable but a great layout and difficult. So far my favorite course in the Mesa area.

Round in Kokopelli
There was a freeze delay that impacted the start and pace of the round. Nevertheless, the staff gave a basket of practice balls on the house.

Bathrooms
The course was in good shape and fun to play, unfortunately the course bathrooms were outhouses. For ladies it was atrocious. The holding bins for the sewage was inches from the top. These outhouses were not pumped out in a long while. This was not acceptable for men let alone the women.

Fun & Challenging
This course is got a lot of green space for this area. There are a lot of moguls and large sand bunkers that make it challenging. We would have liked a map on the score card or on the cart because it can get confusing deciding which path to take. All of the employees were friendly. We enjoyed our round and will return.

Bathroom
The out houses were absolutely the most disgusting thing. Make sure you don’t drink anything because you don’t wanna have to use those

Cleanliness is a top priority for us, and we're actively addressing this issue to ensure a better experience for everyone. We do have them cleaned out by an outside company weekly and checked by our staff daily, we apologize if it missed by our staff that day.
