Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

Good Course @ A Good Price
Fun course layout. 6 out of 18 holes are doglegs and 4 are water holes. Fairways are getting greener and filling out nicely. Greens are very fast but fair. Excellent value for @$29 for afternoon golf. Fore!
Summer is coming … course is hanging on
Courses is still hanging on. The are starting to water a little much and the course floods and gets mucky in spots.
Over all course is good and in good shape!
Downfall was pace. No Marshall and a group of teens playing from the tips was killing the pace. Back 9 we had 3 groups backup up because of them.

Greens in ok condition. Fairways spotty with some brown spots and lots of sitting water.

Fairways were well kept, greens were consistent all day (that’s all I can feel you can ask for). Pace of play was decent no real issues or much waiting time. Some areas off the fairway were waterlogged but overall the course is in good shape.
Good Price for a Decent Course
Lots of people on the range but not too many on the course. Played the round in 3 hours. Tee boxes and greens were in excellent shape. Fairways were average with some standing water due to recent heavy watering. Ice cold water on the course!

Muddy, over-watered track.
I cannot recommend this course. The mud on the front 9 was terrible. The "sand" traps were filled with mud that caked our shoes. There was no sand in the traps. Had to pick the mud out of the cleats with a tee. Had to tip-toe around the course to avoid the standing water and mud. The back 9 was slightly dryer. Not fun.

Save your money
This course is in need of some major help. Use to play it a lot when I lived in the area 5 years ago. Even back then, it was a marginally ok course. Fast forward to now - this place is an absolute dump. Course conditions are horrible. Many fairways are half dirt, half grass. Greens were to only thing that seem to be decent. The phrase “cow pasture” came to mind several times as I was playing. It’s just a very tired and run down course. The $45 green fee for late afternoon tee time seemed like a bargain at the time of booking…… after playing it, it seems like highway robbery.

STILL OPEN, WHY
Played this course one time three years ago made the mistake of not reading the reviews before I played the course I see in the reviews currently that a lot of people have made the same mistake it's one of those courses you will go one time and never go back again it's amazing how people still attend or go to this course with hopes that ever-changing, don't say I didn't tell you so

Challenging Course
Kokepelli is one of our favorite courses in the valley. They have some of the most challenging greens, which is one reason we like it. The layout is great. The course is transitioning into summer so conditions are just okay. Pace was very good. Staff in the pro shop is great, as well as the cart girl. Still some work to be done outside the fairways but we're told it's a work in progress. We'll be back!

Completed 18 holes in just over 3 hours
We went out as a 2some. On the tee box, a 4some that had just hit let us go through. On hole 5, another 4some let us play through. There was clear sailing after that. Was awesome. Course is in o.k. shape for this time of the year.

Just a mess
It is hard to believe that anyone manages the condition of this course . Many of the water features are empty, and smelly. The fairways are in horrible condition, and so that means the surrounds of the course are just terrible too. There seems to be an irrigation issue, as low areas are swamped and muddy. There is so much mud on the course that it gets tracked onto the greens by players. The green are like worn, bare thread carpet- bouncy, not a true roll on the entire property. That said, this course is a terrific layout, with great hole designs and mounding. Just a shame what this place has become. Not sure what arcis had planned for this place, but either fix it, or shut it down. Do not play here -

I’m thirsty!
No water! Not just as part of the course play but the grass is dying for a drink. The greens need a ton of water. Mower is linking oil on greens. Lines on every green from fresh oil. Fairways need attention and water. Did i say the grass needs watering. So dry. Greens also feel like they were brushed against the grain, if you know what i mean. The grass felt like it was rough.

This course is in rough shape
The layout of the course is nice. The condition of the course is not. Lots of muddy areas, fairways are brown and greens are rough and chewed up. This is a value course at best and honestly, it would a better value for $20 less. It could be a nice course if it were better maintained. No beverage cart during the week at least.

They have let this place go bad.
The place is just in really shabby condition. The fairways are so difficult and undulating that you need consistent grass and it’s just really bad. Swamped out areas of standing nasty water and mud right next to barren waste land of splotchy fairways grass. It’s embarrassing. The greens were obviously punched and sanded but we were not informed and the price did not reflect this. The bunkers are full of rocks and hard. The range was mats and they were all shot to $&@“! 80% of the range balls were washed out and knuckled off the club. No ranger enforcement so the patrons just did whatever they wanted. 6 some of kids drunk and filming slowed everything down. The fairways are all roped off so 70% is the course is cart path only. Very very disappointed. I won’t be back.
