About
Located a short distance from Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix and Arizona State University, Kokopelli Golf Course is a championship length course that offers many interesting challenges. The rolling terrain creates sloping greens and undulating fairways. A majority of the teeboxes and greens are elevated as well. The course also has large multiple island tees and water hazards in the form of meandering lakes that come into play on several holes. The signature hole of Kokopelli Golf Course is the par-5 18th hole. The dramatic finishing hole calls for a shot off an elevated too followed by an approach shot past water to an elevated green.

It Could Be a Great Tract
Front desk and check in was great. Cart girl was friendly, although we didn't need anything. We saw Two guys on separate carts a few times, one had a player assistant sign. There was probably a two hole gap between groups, yet nothing was done to speed up play. Additionally, they appeared to be more interested in flirting with the cart girl. Several holes were marked improperly regarding pin placement. When I informed the young man about it, he didn't know what I was talking about.
We really love the layout of this course, and it could be so much better. Why there were four holes completely roped off and cart path only didn't seem to make sense. There didn't appear like any work was being done, and they weren't in any worse condition than the rest of the course, and all it did was slow play. Would have been nice to know this prior to booking. Also, the overseed didn't look like it took very well, lots of poor conditions. Guess we can't complain based on the cost.
Some issues
The course was in decent shape. However there were 4 holes with cart path only. At 82 years old I am not liking that.

Not worth it
It is not worth going there. Tee Boxes not leveled, fairways ok at least were there is grass. Greens okish but with bad installed holes. Hundreds of ballmarks.

Disappointing
The course was rough. A lot of holes were under construction/repair. It was very path only. The pace was slow. It took 5 hours to play a round. My advice is to try another course.

1st time at Kokopelli GC in AZ
I'd play again this GC in the future even though several fairways weren't in great condition. I liked the configuration of the holes.

Good experience
