About
The golf course at the Western Skies Golf Club has a traditional layout with many different challenges and beautiful views. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and valleys, the course offers a taste of the countryside, which is further enhanced by the many aged Mesquite and Pinon trees sprinkled throughout. It features tree-lined fairways with generous landing areas and tricky water hazards. Two notable holes are the 4th and 7th holes, both par 3s. Although it is a modest 186 yards, the 4th hole requires a carry over water to a heavily bunkered green. Western Skies Golf Club's 18th hole is a drivable par four with water along the right side, making this an exciting finishing hole.

Loved Western Skies and the Staff There! 5 STARS
The course was in fantastic shape, with wide fairways and big flat greens. I played in under 3 hours, which minimized the hot weather effect. The entire staff at Western Skies always treats me like family, as they treat everyone! Including Jim, Kyle, Geoff, Isaac, Leah, Maddie, and all the rest. Thank you!

Decent track
Western Skies is an ok and decent golf course. Nothing special or fancy. Flat and a lot of houses. Probably not a summer course as it was starting to have that AZ golf course look. Would definitely come back and play however probably only from November through May. Might play it for no more than $25 in the summertime however, a lot of other nice courses to play in the summer that are cheap in Arizona at that time of year.

Course was in good shape from tee to green as long as you stayed on course. Greens were good but very dry and fast. Bunkers in good condition
Price
Always enjoy playing this course. The layout is good, not too long not too short. The staff is always friendly and helpful. My only complaint is that the price is rather high for mid May in Arizona.
Enjoyable
I played on a Sunday in May. Surprising the pace was only a little backed up on some 3 pars. The greens were in good shape and they don’t break much at all. This is not a difficult course so I would say it’s good for new or casual golfers. Drink cart came by often and it’s easy to get food and drinks here. Overall I enjoyed my golf round here and I would not hesitate to play it again.
Fun course great experience
Easy check in, great location for bag drop and cart pick up, very well marked for where to go, staff was friendly and helpful, and a very fun round of golf. Carts had distance too so no need for phone app or range finder for me.. The course was in good condition, greens were pretty slow but rolled and looked nice, fairways were nice, tee boxes were ok. Will be playing here again for sure! Worth the $68 on Saturday afternoon…

Fairways and greens actually had good grass and played well.
Cart girl visited a couple of times and was very nice .
It's great to see a course that has this kind of care as many others are allowing the fairways to dry up..
Greens were tooling true at about a medium speed and were smooth.
FIVE STARS! (And yes, I know what that means!)
I always give Western Skies 5 stars. Recently a golf-snob commented that I don't know what a 5 star course is. Western Skies staff treats me like family, and they NEVER act like snobs! I had a blast, played in 3 1/2 hours, and I paid $36. THAT'S what five stars is to me!

Golf Outing on Mother's Day
Had a great day out at Western Skies! The greens were in excellent shape—smooth, consistent, and well-maintained. The putting area and driving range were also in great condition, making it easy to warm up before the round. The pace of play was spot on, with just the right amount of spacing between groups to keep things moving without feeling rushed. Overall, a very enjoyable experience—looking forward to coming back soon!

I played Western Skies in 2 hours and 55 minutes. (It wasn't busy because of an iffy forecast) This course is always in near-perfect condition, and the setup allows for good scoring, even for me! The staff there always make me feel welcome and valued. That's a big reason that I give them FIVE STARS!
