The golf course at the Western Skies Golf Club has a traditional layout with many different challenges and beautiful views. Surrounded by picturesque mountains and valleys, the course offers a taste of the countryside, which is further enhanced by the many aged Mesquite and Pinon trees sprinkled throughout. It features tree-lined fairways with generous landing areas and tricky water hazards. Two notable holes are the 4th and 7th holes, both par 3s. Although it is a modest 186 yards, the 4th hole requires a carry over water to a heavily bunkered green. Western Skies Golf Club's 18th hole is a drivable par four with water along the right side, making this an exciting finishing hole.

Water Please!!!

The course was mostly nice. There were several patches of dirt/clay throughout the course but I couldn't tell if that was by design or course management.

Regardless, my only real complain is there were no water stations on the course... in Arizona... in the summer. This seems to be a massive oversight and that simple amenity every 3-4 holes we easily boost my course opinion.
