The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Legend at Arrowhead under repair
I have played this course numerous times in the past. It was always very well maintained and presented a delightfully challenging course, until this past round.
I found the course to be in a state of disrepair. The front 9 holes were closed for sand trap work, which was not disclosed to Golf Now, The back 9 was in poor condition. The bunkers were rock hard packed dirt. the fairways were fairly decent; however, the rough was so long (3 to 4 inches) that you spent a good deal of time looking for your ball if you missed the fairway. there was a good deal of mowed grass clumps on in the rough areas, making it even more difficult to locate you ball. The grass on the tee boxes was so long that in most cases it was as long or longer than a tee ( typically 2 to 3 inches deep).
The greens were cut very short making them lightning fast. The cart paths had missing sections of concrete. As a final not, the only available water station was located at the restroom building. None of the several course water stations had water, in the past they contained water coolers with ice water. This is important considering that the temperature was well over 100 degrees.
I will be had pressed to play or recommend this course again any time soon..
Waste of time and money
They only had the back nine open (played it twice). Fairways had grass clipping piles everywhere. Greens were spotty with dead patches. Zero sand in the bunkers.
Would not recommend this course.
under construction
the course was just set up to play the back 9 twice as major work is being performed on the front. redoing the sand traps and repairing bare grass.
cart paths arr beung repaired throught out.
the ranger was not to be found as the firat three holes took over 1.25 hours.
I ltraveled through the rest of the nine and found the ranger up at the next hole on his cart in the shade. two holes later i found the following two holes with no one on them. mentioned it to the proshop that there was 2 fivesomes out there and the ranger needed to be doing some prodding along. i did not ask for a credit but wad offered one.
i have enjoyed this course in the past and look forward to the reopening this coming season
Save your money
Horrible course hole number 4 was closed. Too much construction going on. Only played nine holes because the course was in terrible shape. Very disappointed in the management to keep the course open. Don't bother.
Back 9 only
We had to play the back 9 only today. Course was extremely wet and greens were in rough shape
under renovations
when i booked this course, i was not informed that they are doing major renovations on it. it will be good in the future, but as of now we should have been informed of this before we decided to play there. otherwise this course is normally fine
Stay AWAY
This course is going through a renovation. Greens are chewed up and bunkers are being re-done. Hole 4 is shut down.
There is no way they should be charging 50.00 for this course. I would look at other courses before playing this course again.
Worst than expected.
This course was hard for me to even give a single star. It’s a $60 course which in my opinion felt like a 12 dollar course. The course is under major construction but no where on their website or on this app did it say that. Hole number four was closed and hole five were driving off the red tee. First hole is pretty open which gives you confidence that the day will go well until hole number two hits you with maintenance guys working on the bunker in front of the green and won’t even move for you to shoot. As you are maneuvering into hole three with the cart pathing looking like a huge earthquake hit. Almost felt like I was on the ride of Indiana Jones and we are looking through the jungle of legends of arrowhead for our ball because the fairways are atrocious. Save your money and your time and find another course. There are better quality courses for a better price.
Wow, just WOW
Place is a dump. The GM Dusty and other guy Chad are TRASH. Close the course until the construction is over. Canceling my membership with Arcis because of this experience. Figure it out upper management! You guys are just as bad!!!!
The legend
Course has gone downhill in the last 3 years. It’s a shame cause it could be a great course but it’s not managed well. Sorry guys I don’t usually review anything but you guys need a kick in the rear. Please bring the course back to life.
Terrible Condition
I have played at Legend of Arrowhead many times over the years. I can honestly say that I have never played a golf course in this bad condition EVER. On top of the poor condition, hole 4 was not playable due to repairs being made. The recent rain storms certainly didn't help.
It should be closed until the course is back in reasonable condition
