The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Horrible Condition
I have never played a course in this awful of condition. There were construction vehicles on the greens of the first 3 holes. I couldn't even really hit the shot. So many pieces of the cart path were removed that it was actually unsafe to drive. Horrible horrible condition.
Atrocious…
I have been playing golf for over forty years and these course conditions were by far the worst I have seen and played. The greens were so bad that it was not even worth putting on. The staff gave us a discount and I can tell you that what we paid was too much. When I went to complain about the conditions I asked the staff if he was aware of how bad the conditions were he stated “no I haven’t played the course in a few months.” He also went on to state that “the maintenance of the course is not my problem!” Really??? You represent the course you work for. I would not recommend this course to anyone and it’s an embarrassment to the staff and those who unfortunately play this course on a regular basis.
Terrible in every aspect
$49 to play a goat track. Worth $10 if that.
TERRIBLE conditions
Management is awful. Worst I’ve ever seen at any golf course. These guys belong in warehouse packing boxes somewhere.
Feel bad for their staff as there is no leadership at this place
Will never play EVER again.
Thanks for the worst experience Legend at Arrowhead!
It’s going private, they have let it go until they can close off to public and refurbish the course for private members
Quiet, busy but $53 to play 18….most if not all the greens have a massive ring of dirt around the fist 2 ft of green going inwards from the edges of the fringe….it’s just been punched which is normal stuff for golf courses but this was pretty bad. Had more than a handful of approach shots hit in the dirt/mud and just bounce and stay put…not all bad but not what you’d expect from an arcis course or how ever you spell it…won’t come back.
Course is trash
The greens are horrendous, walked off the property after 7 holes. This course went down hill and fast, it's in total disrepair at the moment, avoid.
Pathetic
There was no ice for the coolers, or water jugs on course.
The course was in the worst shape I’ve seen any course in. The greens were destroyed, the tee boxes grass was way too long, cart paths were in pieces, and no actual sand in the traps. I would never recommend this course to anyone. Way over priced for those conditions. 0 stars no doubt.
Poor Condition
Over-priced for the condition course is in. would have been nice if they let you know the course is been worked on before scheduling the tee time paid 50 dollars worth 15.
Reluctantly Bummed
This is my go to course year round. Love the challenging layout and typically in good shape. Beware as they're going through some pretty significant renovations that will make the course better down the road, but for now save your money. Greens are the worst I have ever seen here; many bare spots, sandy, and very bumpy. I can't wait to see the final product, but in the mean time I will play elsewhere.
Bad price for course condition
With all the repairs and condition of the course it should have been cheaper to play. At the very least a warning on the site of the repairs being done to the course would have been nice and probably deterred us from playing there.
Aerating AND Empty bunkers
No one likes to play at a course while it's aerating but if you want a beautiful course, it's necessary. I get it. But then to also have various tractors (not being used at the time) and dug out bunkers simultaneously all while STILL charging $50/player is unacceptable. Leaves a bad impression.
Was good before
With the remodel going on right now it is in very rough shape.
Greens were terrible throughout and even some cart path chunks missing. I think they should have discounted rate or at least some warning of the renovations happening.
I won't be back for at least a year. Also staff was very rude saying no rain checks after starting in monsoon season.
Love the layout, but course not worth the cost in current conditions
Played this course many times over the years. Love the layout, but there is a ton of work going on, including large sections removed and dumped into the sand traps. Guess they are fighting a fungus, but by the looks of it they have a ways to go before this course will be back in shape. Greens were pretty bad, but they appeared to be rolled and the ball rolled okay.
Ended up being rained out, but since we purchased online no rain check was given for back nine. No worries, too many better options in Phoenix with lower green fees. Will pass on this track for awhile.
Horrible course conditions lots of standing water and the greens are horrible. It’s a 10.00 muni course
Needs Help
I do like the layout of this course but it needs help. Course conditions are rough. Hopefully someone besides Arcis can take this over and make it better like it used to be!
Zero sand in any bunkers and greens a mess
Usually when we play here in summer, fairways are parched and greens are awesome. Not so now. No sand in ANY bunker on the whole course. No water buckets either, only 1 fountain per 9 holes. No drink cart, makes it tough when it's this hot. Greens were dead in parts and bumpy and bad in others. We used to love this course due to set up. Now it seems that they just don't care anymore. Will be a while till we come back.
In bad shape
Prob the worst I have ever seen this course. No starter so we started late. No cart girl and the greens were not in good shape even by summer phoenix standards. Def not worth 454 bucks
Greens were rough
Layout was nice winding thru neighborhood. Bunkers were hard scrabble. Greens were in bad shape. My tee time was changed without notification. Electric carts were in bad shape. Will not play there again.
Love the course convenient to my house. However, the greens were rough and the flag placement was puzzling. The flags were placed in areas were the greens seemingly were in the worst shape. Overall challenging course and would play again.
