The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

I can’t rate coarse conditions because I wasn’t able to play. There’s no doubt that I would have been probably the last person to Play that evening however when I got there the pro shop was locked up and the lights were off which was strange because there were still like 30 people either on the range, practice green or standing around talking to each other. And I could see a group had just gone out cuz they had just got to the #1 green. It was probably the ones that worked there. Who knows all I know is that I’m out 23 and some change and will try for compensation.
Greens outstanding
Played today with my son, green fees $29, fairways on ok shape, greens were excellent and rolling very true. Teed off at noon and finished at 3.15. PLAY READY GOLF.
Terrible sand bunkers, can't hit out of them, its just dirt and rocks.. Fairways and tee boxes needed to be mowed green's in great shape.
Horrible experience
round started off great, course was in normal summer conditions for az. We caught up to the group in front of us around hole 4. Not only were two of them playing shirtless the whole round, but then also proceeded to drive all over the greens, take full swings with divots on the greens, and then proceed to fill said divots with grass clippings. All of this while we were waiting to hit our next shots.
Horrible
No coolers, no ice and no water provided. Keep living off the Covid excuse to charge crazy money for a water and refuse people coolers. It’s 116 degrees and dangerous to send people out with nothing and not offer anything or have a cart girl. Total greed on Arcis part. The starter in the pro shop yelling at us and waiting times up to 16 minutes on several holes
What a shame that a great auto Palmer I was in such awful condition. Greens were decent but aside from that course is terrible
Good round
Course is in better then average condition. Bunkers are not good no sand tho. Just avoid them ))) pace of play was great 3.5 hrs on a Saturday morning. Already booked to play it again next weekend.
Nothing crazy, but ok.
Recently played this course on July 23rd not a huge fan of it. Pace of play was horrible. There was a 3some then a single in front of us. When they could’ve put the single with the group in front of us. Course was not in bad shape but not great either. No cart girl or water on the course. We hit the range before our round and we were pretty much hitting off of dry weeds and grass. I get it’s summer time and COVID going on so I’ll give it another shot sometime in the future.
Love this course!
Today was the first time I've played here since the March quarantine. They haven't lost a step. The course is very well maintained. Between the rolling hills , water hazards, tree lined fairways and protective sand bunkers there are plenty of challenges for every level of golfer. It's very quickly becoming one of my favorite courses. A big thank you to the ground crew for keeping it in such good shape. I can't wait to play again!!
Excellent
I just moved to Glendale. I booked this course on GolfNow. It was definitely worth it. I went to one of the hottest days of the summer. It was quiet, and they let me out early. The coolers were taken off the carts as a result of Covid-19, no worries, I completely understand. The course was in great shape. The fairways and rough were completely green. The greens themselves were a little slow, but you can tell they sanded the greens a couple weeks prior. But over all good greens.
I highly recommend playing this course.
Great value
I get to play 2 - 3 times a week and really try to play a different course each time during the week. Staff is cordial and very engaging. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape for this time of the year. In fact, aside from a few high end courses I recently played, the greens on this course nearly as good. The only thumbs down is the bunkers.... most a very compacted and nearly impossible play out of. This is a good thing for fairway bunkers, but no bueno for green side. Definitely worth the dollars to play.
Spur of the moment round of golf
We were able to snag a good tee time for 4 of us and overall things were fine and I will play there again. The price was great for the course itself, now there was no cart person and no water to drink on the course. Glad I bought some water with me as they did not give us a heads up. The people we did interact with were pleasant at best. The conditions were ok not much different then other times. The biggest reason why I will come back is I really like the layout and the cost of $35.00 is nice.
