The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Solid course, avoid bunkers
Bunker sand is essentially not even sand, just packed in dirt that makes it impossible to hit out of with any consistency. Wouldn’t be a big deal but there are bunkers on every hole and surrounding most greens. If they improved the sand and fixed some of the muddy areas mentioned in other comments it would be a great course.
This course has great fairways and wavy greens.
The staff are all very friendly. The fairways are in very good shape; however, there are numerous areas that are puddled or muddy. The wavy greens offer challenges to average golfers. The sand traps are hard packed and are a real disappointment .
Nice course
Nice lay out conditions are ok considering situation staff is bitter mean not nice. Watched a father come in with his young kids to hit balls on range he walked out staff was unexceptionable. Course is awesome for me staff is going to cost you money if it hasn’t already
Time to fix
This is a very nice layout and that is it, This course has been ruined by lack of TLC. The greens are dried out, mud puddles all over the place, trash, parts of fallen trees a total mess. The bunkers are like bricks. I truly like this course and the layout is really super but it is so run down and yet they continue to want top dollar to play there.
not worth it
I had a hotdeal for $20., with a $20 coupon, fees and paying a total of $3.50, i overpaid. There was more grass in some bunkers than on fairways. LOTS of garbage strewn about the course, I understand that it is summer in AZ, but other coureses have the same conditions, but this course is not being taken care of. Some puddles around sprinklers, then desert 10 feet away, normal but not in a fairway. No reason to be back with so many other choices.
SURPRISINGLY GOOD COURSE
Was leary about this course due to negative reviews. Was surprised as to how good it was.
The practice is far from cars, and they do not let you drive the golf cart to the hitting area. If you're handicapped this creates a problem, you need to carry your bag to the range.
The sand traps were horrible, like hitting off the cement, greens in good shape but on the slow side. Lots of area in the rough where it was only dirt to hit off of.
Awesome greens
I had too get out the divot fixer! Lord...... Niceeeee
Great value
Course plays long in the afternoon from the tips. Wind usually picks up and the first few holes are downwind, but after about 5 you are playing some nice long dog legged par 4s into the wind. Tees fairways and greens are in good shape. Rough is patchy also the greens have some serious crowns and valleys that make it tough to get close when the pins are in those places. Good challenge for scratch golfers which is nice to have at this price. Lots of shots to work on and plenty of course management needed at the right times to go low.
Good course Good pace of play
The course was in really good shape. I little more forgiving. The starter was friendly and helpful.
Best round ever
Shot a 79 best round ever and on a course I feel,is to demanding.
Rude staff
Course layout is great. It’s a fun track.
However, the staff is the rudest in the Valley and me and friends will never play there again because of them. Too many nice courses in the area to put up with the punk clubhouse staff.
Eh
Breakfast was terrible and the back nine was even worse.
Weekend play
This is a nice course and layout. They need to add sand to the bunkers, if you hit out of them you risk damage to your clubs. Also they over book on weekends especially in the afternoon also allowing large groups with some folks not golfing. We started at 2 pm and it gets dark at 630, we only got 12 holes in. This was upsetting due to paying a higher rate with the anticipation we could get 18 holes in.
Good conditions, bad sandtraps, terrible pace of play
The Bad: Tee time was at 3:20pm and we were only able to play 12 holes by 6:45 because we had to wait an extra 20 minutes to tee off and the pace of play was just terrible. Sand traps were more like hardened mud holes. On 2 of them I just tossed my ball out rather than damage my club.
The Good: Grass is in great condition and the greens were especially challenging and fun! Great layouts and some interesting holes to play! Would play this course again.
Slow play
We were only able to play 9 holes because of very slow play. Paid for 18 holes; I asked for a rain check for the other 9 holes and they were willing to grant me that but because I booked through Golfnow they couldn’t do it. Disappointed. Love the course and hope to play again.

Course is in great shape. Sand traps are in awful shape.
