The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course
About
Located in the west valley, The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course (formerly known as the Legend at Arrowhead Golf Club) is an Arnold Palmer/Ed Seay-designed golf course with a traditional layout. The challenging course has six lakes creating water hazards on many of the holes and several doglegs. The difficult to read greens are undulating and in excellent condition. Each hole, except for one, has bunkering on the fairways or protecting the greens. The Clubs at Arrowhead - Legend Course's signature hole is the par-4, 426-yard fifth hole. It calls for a shot off an elevated tee with water running along the right side of the fairway as well as next to the green.

Just OK compared to some other courses
Golf Advisors 3 & 1/2 stars is just about what I would rate this course. I have the Arcis Prime membership and it is the lesser of the 3 courses I play regularly. It's also the least expensive and I never have any problems getting a tee time.
Great Course/Great Time
The course was absolutely packed, but the staff kept everything moving great. The layout is challenging but fair. Not many flat spots in the fairways or on the greens. The fairways and greens are in excellent shape. The greens keeper must have had a bad night though, judging from where he put some of the pins. My only knock on the course is that many of the areas from the tee boxes to the fairways are bare dirt and not maintained. The entire staff was amazingly friendly.
Slow play
Well it started with no carts available. Then we waited at almost.. no every tee box . Hitting the ball into the middle of the fairway and losing the ball , more than once and not by myself alone. Having the ball rolling into the water after hitting the middle of the fairway. Sand in the bunkers was a challenge, what appeared to be fresh concrete, pools of water, a skiff if sand or actual an inch or two of what reassemble d sand.. A memerable experience for sure but not for the right reasons. Will think twice about booking here again!
nice course
in very good shape, greens challenging but in very good shape
Pretty interesting layout. Greens were fair and in good condition. Pace was horribly slow - 5 hr pace. I woul play again
Good value.
Good course except for the traps. It is kind of surprising considering all the sand available in Arizona.
Well Named
We have been coming to Arizona since 2012, and this is our first opportunity to golf a lot in NW Phoenix area. Having played many of the standard subdivision type courses, e were so pleasantly surprised to find a well laid out course with variety, length and risk/reward. The only weakness was the hardness of the bunker base, which brought some unexpected havoc, but they are called hazards for a reason. The greens were quick and consistent, with fair runoff areas, leaving several options for recovery. The staff were hard working and very friendly, and genuinely cared that we had a fine day. Well, job well done !
Not coming here anytime soon
Staff customer service substandard
Bunkers are like concrete
Groups stacked on top of one another, so round took well over 5 hours
This course may be better priced than others during this time of year, but if they don’t get their act together-and I don’t know if it is the constant change in management-I will not be coming back anytime soon.
Going backwards
This course has been significantly better in the past. Yard markers very difficult to find and very sparse. Conditions off the fairway are very poor, sand traps not well maintained and often played like concrete. Historically this has been a very nice course, I was disappointed today, I expected a more well maintained course.
Bad Day
6 hours + for the round, too many people out
No carts available until 15 minutes after tee time
Only one marshal which was the manager
Did get a follow up call after completing the survey and was offered a complimentary round
Legend at Arrowhead
Generally, the course was in decent condition.
The rough had little or no turf to speak of and the sand traps were very difficult to get a club under with very course sand ( what there was of it ). The fairways and greens were in excellent condition.
Quick 9
Played the back 9 early bird special. Due to rain earlier in the week and high winds recently it looked like they weren’t able to work on the fairways. The fairways had clumps of grass all over and leaves, tree bark all over. This made it difficult to find your ball even in the fairways you had to move the bark and clumps of grass to find a ball. The course did look good if Mother Nature hadn’t come into play also making the sand traps as hard as the cart path, you didn’t even need to rake because there was no evidence you were in one.
Course double booked my GolfNow tee time
We were not able to play, because the course double booked my GolfNow tee time. The course cancelled my tee time and scheduled the higher paying call in. I will not ever use GolfNow to book this course.
It took more than five hours to play .fairways and greens were in good shape. Outside of that Sand bunkers we're terrible very little grass off the fairways..
