Golf Club of Estrella is the very first golf course on a daily-fee basis to be designed by Jack Nicklaus II in Phoenix, where it makes its home in the master-planned community Estrella, and offers 18 holes of par-72 championship golf over 7,102 unique yards. The many tests of the golf course will impress every level of golfer - though a choice of tee sets ensures no one will get in over his or her head. Desert and wash spaces require golfers to vary their shots while they take in vistas from the fairways shaped to the contour of the land and framed in the Sierra Estrella Mountains.

A round of golf at the Golf Club Estrella kicks off on Morning Star, a par 4 that measures 359 yards from the black tees. If you stick to the black tees, you'll need to conserve your energy for The Arroyo, the 16th hole, a par 5 that measures 605 yards. After that, Evening Star, the 18th hole, will be a relative breeze, at par 4 and just 437 yards from the black teees.

Once the round of golf at the Golf Club of Estrella is over, head back to the Player's Grill Restaurant for American pub fare and Southwestern snacks.

Fun round

Paired with some members about same age made round a lot of fun. Always a good place to play. 200.00 is getting a little expensive for that you expect perfect. Greens were a little slower than I have seen in the past and some bunkers getting a little low on sand. But overall fun , challenging course.

Sand 😞

Course is beautiful and in really good shape.

Although the bunkers are absolutely Awful! No sand and full of rocks. Such a disappointment considering the rest of the course is so nice. Way overpriced though- especially with the bunkers how they are.

Great day of Golf

I always enjoy playing this course. The course layout while challenging, is very fair.

The fairways are wide, the condition of the course overall is excellent.

This course is a Troon course, so the facilities and the operation are first class. The staff was friendly and professional, and the starter was helpful in giving an overview of the course, and pace of play.

The was in really good shape

My round at the golf course was really good. My issue was the pace of play. It was super slow. Maybe going to tee times 9 or 10 min apart would solve that, I don’t know. The club must be making money but to have to wait on almost every hole isn’t much fun for the paying customers either.

Wish I was allowed to enjoy the course.

Thought I was getting a great deal to play one of the better desert golf courses in the Phoenix area. Don't get me wrong the golf course itself is very nice with good conditions and some beautiful holes/views. However, the starter told us he was running a little behind time and mentioned something about having to get club pass members out every FIVE minutes not leaving him any wiggle room???? Not sure if he was being literal or exaggerating. When it was our turn to head down to the first tee the starter asked us to wait until the group ahead was on the green before teeing off, which we did. The group behind did not extend the same courtesy. Nor did they throughtout the round. I should mention the three other guys I was playing with were on a buddy trip and were having a lot of fun giving each other the shots. While they were not slow or bad players they weren't really quick players either. They just wanted to have a good time. And at the price they paid who could blame them. A few balls in the desert later and in a couple holes we were falling behind the group ahead. Wasn't long and we had the marshalll asking us to pick up the pace. Good for Estrella for having a marshal who actually does something. However, nothing worse than having a marshal who doesn't know when to leave. Every time I turned around for most of the rest of the round there he was watching our group play. Nothing worse than having an audience watching your every move. While he was polite, the clapping at a good shot or shouting out encouragement was a little over the top. Just ask us to pick the pace and disappear. I felt like we were running the whole round. Not what you expect when playing higher end courses with 9-10 minutes between tee times. As this was the only time I played this course I don't know if this happens often or if we were just that group holding everyone up. Given we were done in just over 4 hours I don't feel we were that slow. Would like to try the course again to see it I could relax and enjoy it but at the prices they are charging not willing to take the risk. You will have to decide for yourself.
