Wow! That was my first impression of this place as I approached the practice facilities, the bunker they had there had actual fluffy white sand in it! Also, the range was great & the putting green was outstanding as well, I loved the location of it too! Right before the first hole & also, after you’ve finished as well, so it’s a great location as far as practicing if they’re backed up @ the first tee, or you’re not happy with your days round of putting, you can stop & have a lil more practice before heading home or over to the 19th hole! Great 1st time experience at Estrella! Will definitely recommend it, (I already have) and come back!!

I know that the condition of the fairway traps weren't ideal, not even close!

But, most green side bunkers weren’t too bad at all, very playable!

Aside from that, in this kind of weather that we’ve been experiencing around here lately, all-time record heat! I thought that the course was in “excellent” shape considering! I’m sure that this place is pristine during the winter high peak season? But, I can only afford to play these type of courses during the summer when the prices just can’t be beat!

Love to play this course, tough but in a good way. Greens had been recently punched so they were not ideal.

Normal summer dry conditions. Bunkers could use some work. Overall a great value.

Course has lots of Bunkers making it difficult to get around if you don’t play smart. I play from the Gold which makes it even tougher if you’re not accurate off the tee or don’t play to the right spots. I would say if you don’t hit long off the tee play up a tee box

Last time I played the course I gave it a pretty bad review, but they have finally filled the sand traps and are playable now before they were dirt. The greens and fairways were excellent. Hats off to the ground’s crew 👍😎

Don’t ever hate, but the gentleman at the register sucked. I still think I paid for the round, but then we all paid again when checking in. He was zero help in figuring out the situation. I would have thought at a Troon course the customer service would be at a higher level. I booked through the course website, but I guess it was Golfnow which can be a bit confusing. I’m a small business owner, so I know all about the challenges of staffing, I’ve got 50 employees. Just played Pebble Beach and the experience was unmatched, someone here in AZ should strive to create an experience similar. Anyway, the course was cool, but the staff made the experience less satisfying. I’ll check my statement, if I was double charger, we can discuss further. I’m sure no one will reach out, but I understand how busy y’all are. I communicate with every customer that has an issue with our service, I’d say about 20 emails a week, I guess that’s pretty good when we service about 10,000 customers a week. Good luck and thanks.

Fantastic and fair layout. My only concern is the “sand” in the bunkers, or lack there of.

Great course. Second time playing and will be back again. Course was in great shape from tee to green.

The sand traps are terrible. not really sand at all and full of stones of all sizes. not up troon standards in my opinion. I do like the layout of the course.
