Golf Club of Estrella is the very first golf course on a daily-fee basis to be designed by Jack Nicklaus II in Phoenix, where it makes its home in the master-planned community Estrella, and offers 18 holes of par-72 championship golf over 7,102 unique yards. The many tests of the golf course will impress every level of golfer - though a choice of tee sets ensures no one will get in over his or her head. Desert and wash spaces require golfers to vary their shots while they take in vistas from the fairways shaped to the contour of the land and framed in the Sierra Estrella Mountains.

A round of golf at the Golf Club Estrella kicks off on Morning Star, a par 4 that measures 359 yards from the black tees. If you stick to the black tees, you'll need to conserve your energy for The Arroyo, the 16th hole, a par 5 that measures 605 yards. After that, Evening Star, the 18th hole, will be a relative breeze, at par 4 and just 437 yards from the black teees.

Once the round of golf at the Golf Club of Estrella is over, head back to the Player's Grill Restaurant for American pub fare and Southwestern snacks.

Nice surprise!

Everything about this course was top notch. The fairway were excellent, the greens rolled beautifully and I don’t know that I’ve played on any better tee boxes in my life. Like most courses in the Phoenix area the sand in the bunkers is firm to hard. My only other quip was that it was an hour and fifteen minute drive to get there - but worth the drive! I would definitely visit again!

Desert golf with challenge

Estrella revealed its evil side when played in a nice but heavy windy day.

I played from back tee and this course offered plenty of true desert golf challenges. Just loved the conditions and walked the 18 holes with my caddie.

Highly recommend Estrella course for those who wish to test their abilities and shot accuracy.

Greens were a bit slower than I am used to, but even conditions throughout the course.

I truly had a great day!

Very Nice course

Almost every hole was visually stunning.

Course had some excellent challenges.

Green we’re in great shape.

Course marshals were very friendly.

Some sort of homeless encroachment onto the golf course created a significant backup.

Estrella is a great course. Play it, you will be back.

Love this course. Its always in tip top shape. Played 18 would have played 36. Layout is awesome. Tee boxes are always good. Fairways are extremely well maintained, same with the greens. Bunkers were in great shape, If anything the greens perhaps were extra fast although readable. Staff is terrific, Starters, Marshal's, Tim in the pro shop is great. The mountain setting is panoramic. There are zero downsides. Its a Troon course. Its what you should expect to play.

If I only could have had a replay. Ah, next time

NO WASHROOMS AFTER 15 & at 5 PM

Very disappointing… several times the washrooms have been closed by 5… no excuse for this… no warning either. When we were done the facility was closed PERIOD.

Great layout, but no sand in the bunkers just pretty much dirt and pebbles very disappointing for such a nice layout. And was told when asked about the bunkers from a member we were playing with he said the owner won’t put any money into the course. Time for a new owner somehow.

Overpriced

Greens in horrible shape!! Course has gone down a lot since last time i played last year. Weeds everywhere, carts run down, sand all over fairways from traps. I would not recommend this course if you have to pay more then $50
