About
Golf Club of Estrella is the very first golf course on a daily-fee basis to be designed by Jack Nicklaus II in Phoenix, where it makes its home in the master-planned community Estrella, and offers 18 holes of par-72 championship golf over 7,102 unique yards. The many tests of the golf course will impress every level of golfer - though a choice of tee sets ensures no one will get in over his or her head. Desert and wash spaces require golfers to vary their shots while they take in vistas from the fairways shaped to the contour of the land and framed in the Sierra Estrella Mountains.
A round of golf at the Golf Club Estrella kicks off on Morning Star, a par 4 that measures 359 yards from the black tees. If you stick to the black tees, you'll need to conserve your energy for The Arroyo, the 16th hole, a par 5 that measures 605 yards. After that, Evening Star, the 18th hole, will be a relative breeze, at par 4 and just 437 yards from the black teees.
Once the round of golf at the Golf Club of Estrella is over, head back to the Player's Grill Restaurant for American pub fare and Southwestern snacks.

Terrible people
Staff not friendly at all, and members are even worse. You need to be part of the “group” to be included.
Won’t play here ever again.
C'mon!!! Play from the correct tees for your skill level
5....hour.....round. Watched groups ahead of us play from the back tees only to hit the ball 30 yards repeatedly. The course is in good shape. The greens were a bit slow, but OK. The 5 hours waiting on every shot in the heat is unacceptable. Golf should be 4 hours max. Rangers/Marshalls should keep pace moving. It is not reasonable to make everyone else suffer for poor golfers who won't keep pace.
Great day
Hooked up with friends for a morning round and was pleasantly surprised with how nice course conditions were. Fairways were lush and green and cut just the right height. Greens were in fantastic shape rolling just the right speed. All said had a good time!
Good track in rougher than normal shape
We have played here 3 other times. We always enjoy the layout and the variety of visuals. That includes tee box locations and twists and turns. I always appreciate a course that makes you think of what to do next. Around the greens on several holes showed some wear, and one hole was completely sanded around the green. Last time there was a home that had some brown spots. Maybe I’m sensing a theme?
I had to give the conditions a 3 based on these things and the fact that this course is a bit of a drive to get to. The pro shop is top notch and the staff super friendly. The little coffee shop bar thing was tiny and not exactly what we were hoping for after a round of golf. Overall I would give it about a 3.8. Maybe management reads this, I sure hope so. With a nice layout like this, they should do better.

Only regret was pace of play, 4.5 hours is a stretch in the heat.
Well worth the drive, as usual!
I enjoy this course! This round was not exception. Course in great shape. Greens were medium fast, Staff was stellar and only issue was a 60 person outing playing slower than heck on the front 9. It did open up a bit on the back, but a 5 hour round in the heat wasn't ideal. Overall, this is an enjoyable place to play! Never easy to get there quickly...
