Staff is friendly and knowledgable

They actually have rangers that watch and enforce pace of play

Course is challenging and fair

Course was in great condition

Bunkers could use a little sand but I played five different courses in the Scottsdale Phoenix area and that could be said for all of the courses

Every time I am in the area I play here once or twice

I have played GC of E a few times, but not for the past couple of years. The course remains challenging and scenic, but some maintenance seems to have been deferred. Little sand in the bunkers, cart paths poor in spots, and the cart getting pretty wheezy.

We have golfed here several times and it just keeps disappointing. Last year the greens had a fungus and we figured they would have it fixed by now. Guess we were wrong. They course can be nice but for whatever reason they are still not where they need to be. Troon manages the course and should know what it takes. It’s time to get this course back to what it once was.

Course is challenging. Lots of fairways that take a good shot to just get to the fairway...even though they were all reachable.

The scars and holes in the greens should be fixed. No apparent work in progress. Maybe there is, but it is not visible. it would be nice if these were fixed. Other than that, the course was in good shape.

I played this course 7 years ago and the conditions have gone downhill. This is a Troon managed course and the ownership is not putting money into the course. With courses making money during the pandemic and, the fee charged the superintendent should be provided resources ti 'improve' conditions. The bunkers look like rock quarries, the green side edge build up create an unfair playing condition. The sand pro has created mini roads out of the lower edges. Not OK.

Tees are good, fairways good height, approaches well defined, greens moderate speed, o. 17 & 18 in very poor condition. Again, they would benefit from vericutting and light top dressing for a smoother firmer putting experience.

The areas outside of play need attention some dragging as they are generally untouched. Kind of embarrassing if you are an owner.

Beautiful setting, great layout but for $100 in the afternoon players should be able to have the basic playability issues addressed.

Put $ into updating this facility to its deserved condition.

Let’s start with the signage , not very good . Than value for money , not even close..Than there’s pace of play , if your looking for a 5 hr round this is for you.. spoke to the ranger on the course, his words “ no no pace of play is fine everyone is playing as they need to… yea if you want to watch paint dry .. stay away..

Solid course for the price point. Fun round over all.

Only complaint was pave of play was extremely slow.

We played at 10:45am on a Friday and it took us over 5hrs to finish 18. Spent most holes waiting for 2 groups to play before we could tee off. Either enforce pace of play or book fewer tee times.

First time playing this course. Would definitely go back again. Course was in great shape. It was windy but playable. Starter told us there would be a beverage cart on the course but we never saw one.

Some of the greens are spotty with some kind of fungus, pace of play was slow.

First time playing this course. Played with 3 others who had played here before and helped me navigate the 18 holes. Course was in great shape. Great price and finished in 4 hours. Will definitely come back. Only issue was never saw the drink cart once. Course might be missing some revenue there.
