First time playing this course. I liked it a lot. Challenging, yet fair. The only negative comment would be the conditions of the sand traps. Hard, compacted- almost an advantage on the fairway, but much more difficult around the greens.

The only thing I had an issue with is that I could not find yardage indicators on the tees, no center of the tee is marked. Many courses mark the tee center or the card yardage. Here the tees can be quite long, front to back and this was particularly problematic on the par 3's. I asked a course attendant about this during the round and he suggested I buy a range finder. Yardage from sprinkler caps in the fairway were reasonably accurate.

Beautiful, challenging course. Only problem with course is the sand traps. No sand and rock hard.

Too bad because everything else was great.

Course was pretty dried out. I know it is hot but have played other courses in the Phoenix area that are not as dried out as this one. Overall it was ok for the money paid

Played here many times now since moving to area. Course conditions seem to be a bit of hit and miss every time. I’ve played here with great all around conditions and really bad conditions. Greens are kept to standards like most courses nothing to brag about. Fairways and through the greens are kept in good condition most of the time I’ve played here.One thing that is consistent are the horrible maintenance of all bunkers on the course. No consistency of sand or should I say DIRT! For a Troon managed course this requires a much better effort and should not be an issue.Outside help was non existent the day I was there. When I arrived nobody asked to help me and I loaded my own bag. Inside pro shop was no where to be found to check in. Waited at least 10 min’s and still nobody. This was at 11:00. Arrival at tee box was greeted nice but radio between starter and pro shop mentioned me not checking in. When I head that chatter I spoke up to starter about my no help there. Hey Listen I like the course but when I play there I expect to be treated with respect. I’ve been ignored by staff at times to help stuffy members with big mouths in and outside. So come on staff get it together and do a better job treating all customers alike.

In town to visit family and brought a friend for his first visit to the course I've played before. The bunkers were very crusty and lacking a normal base of sand. The greens were rock hard marking approaches run through.

Decent value for the price. Will try again.

When I am in the Phoenix area ( twice a year) I always play at least 1 round here This year I played here twice

Staff is friendly and knowledgable

( I have worked at a private club that has had Ryder cup , us opens and pga championships)

I generally am paired with one or more of members and they as nice as can be

Good range

I am in the golf business and this is a well run operation

They actually have rangers that watch and enforce pace of play

Bunkers could use a little sand but I played five different courses in the Scottsdale Phoenix area and that could be said for all of the courses

Every time I am in the area I play here once or twice
