Golf Club of Estrella

Enjoyed the day at Estella. Fun course, challenging. Would have helped my score had I known the course better. The only negative is the condition of the bunkers...hard, some were wet, very little sand in them. On a course that features so many and so large sand traps, the condition could be improved.

For a Troon golf course, this track is disappointing. Bunkers have approximately a half inch of sand with very hard packed dirt below that sand. Club bounces off the hard pan every single time. The greens also have fungus in pockets that haven’t been addressed for quite some time.

3 Star, The is no sand in the bunkers and the greens were not in very good condition

5 hour round. No breakfast available. Disappointing!

Brought friends I recommended playing there. Lotta damage on greens.

The course had a really cool layout fairways were awesome greens were little damaged I didn’t like the bunkers I didn’t like to gravel in the bunkers

Played a few times before. The course is a nice layout but the greens have suffered serious death/damage. It’s not all but quite a few of them. It is a bit pricy to pay for a course that has issues like this. Otherwise the course is in amazing shape and is a great track. I hope they fix the greens and if they do I will be back.

Great layout, challenging course but Troon needs to put better sand in the bunkers. There are far too many rocks and just a thin layer of sand in most bunkers. Could also use a Marshall to keep the pace moving.

This is a nice course in a nice community. Nice views of the mountains from almost every hole. Fairways were nice . Tee boxes could be made more level or the set up guys/gals should keep the tee markers away from the uneven areas. Greens rolled very quick and true.

Besides the tee box issue, several spots along a few of the fairways had very soggy areas; most likely water leak issues. Almost every green had an area that appeared to be a fungus where there were literally bare spot(s). Such a shame as the rest of the greens area was extremely well manicured and as I mentioned above they were firm, fast and true. There was very little sand in the bunkers (1-2” at most)?

So great layout but needs the issues above corrected before I would pay $100 for a twilight rate again.

And the sun was out! Weather was great, my group was friendly. As a woman playing as a single- it is always nice to have polite and fun men to play a round with! I paid $136 for a round of 18.

The fairways were nicely kept.

Greens- some were good others need some major work

Bathrooms, a plenty around the course!

Carts- surprisingly the do not have GPS! For the price it cost, it should have!

Bring your own water, towels and tees.

I recommend this course- but the price is steep.

Great course, friendly staff, yardage a bit hard to determine as markers were grown over.
