Golf Club of Estrella

Started out with the starter giving us bad news. The course didn’t have any score cards? At all? The rough was mowed shorter then the fairways. Lots of areas on the greens were damaged. Bumpy and not from divots. Not a good experience this time out. Then a random guy not playing golf wrecks his hoveround on the putting green by hole number 1. Hope he is ok. Overall not happy with the experience

Great layout from the tips. I was disappointed in the lack of sand in the bunkers, and the fronts of greens were hammered with ball marks. That's not the courses fault, but wanted to be real.

My wife and I enjoyed the course, amenities and staff. My only recommendation would be to fix the sand traps. They need better drainage and new sand. The traps were wet, hard and rocky.

Estrella is a great layout with plenty of tee options the staff is super friendly and the range balls are free with your round .

Putting green ran true the same as the course .

Staff did not put clubs on cart right away not sure why as we wanted to go practice ahead of time. Lost my club towel and my bag had been opened??? Privacy breach. Also no course score cards to show set up or yardages. For that price you better have them. Greens were in bad shape on many holes with no grass in places Sand traps too hard. Starter was great friendly and pace of play very good as we’ll cart availability was great

Booked a tee time for my son and I, was our first time at this course. We are new to golf just over 1 year into it so the course was a bit challenging but we held our own. Kept up with the pace and planned and played each shot. Yes, we lost a few balls but we really enjoyed the layout, greens and the views. Will definitely return soon.

The Troon name goes to their heads a bit. Marshall was worthless. Waited a little on the back 9 but overall not bad. I am not sure why the Troon courses have rude staff. Its like they think they are better than me?

We golfed for first time on this course. Group of 4 with beginners. Driving range and course where perfect for our day. Challenging for experienced golfers as well as accommodating to beginners. The scenery was beautiful! Best day of golf and Arizona weather. Staff was helpful.

Our foursome is novice level but we wanted a nice course for our son and his friend and 9 holes with these views was perfect. We had a huge time and laughed a lot with some competitive family fun along the way. Dad still has bragging rights! Wonderful staff and grounds. I highly recommend this course

Good layout, fairways were firm and in good shape. Greens were receptive but fast. Lots of slopes to keep this interesting. A little bit of elevation changes but nothing too crazy..

Staff were great, pace of play was very good, 4hrs and 20mins.

Pros: Fantastic layout of the course, very nice greens and fairways

Cons: Few holes (3 and 17 in particular) have absolutely terrible greens with lots of divets. Frustrating to pay so much money for a round with bad greens.

Overall, good course to play. But I wouldn’t spend more than $100.

While designed by Jack Nicklaus 2 great driving layout. The approach to the green is where the action starts a club too short and you are in bunkers where you can’t see bottoms of flag sticks. Bunkers are hard which I like but could use a little more sand the bounce on sand wedge will make you skull sand shot if you don’t hit shot perfectly. Pace of play the day I played was just short of 5 hrs way too long. Overall a great course, nice people

These Arizona courses are a joke. Over $100 to play and sit on every tee box? Can't wait for spring in the midwest...being robbed at every course down here is a joke.
