Golf Club of Estrella

We love Estrella and enjoyed our golf there this week. However a majority of the bunkers either had water or heavy wet sand in them. And a number of fairways were also wet. Not sure if there is an irrigation issue.

Played course after they allowed to come off cartpath only. Bunkers horrible, rock filled, need sand. Range was muddy, soggy, very run down. Greens were water logged and too soft but ran okay. Pace of play was close to 5+ hours which is unacceptable. Food pretty good at turn, staff friendly, helpful. Overall Troon is not reinvesting back into this property.

Being new to town, and looking for a new “home course”, I stopped in the pro shop to ask a question about touring the course. The employee behind the counter, in a sarcastic rude response said “purchase a round of golf and you can review the course that way”.

Not sure I will go back.

I hope the GM of the club spends more time training employees that are customer facing.

Excellent course for the money. Would of liked the greens to bit a bit faster but recent rain had everything a bit thicker than usual.

Grass was so plush and soft. Ball didn't get any good roll but hitting off the grass today was easier than hitting off a new tee mat! Greens were well taken care of and somewhat fast.. Highly recommend playing this course!

The staff was friendly and helpful! They started me off on the right foot. The course was super fun, but the dry season had taken its toll. During the wet season, this course would play amazing. The greens were so fast, but fun! Great experience!

The course is good. The condition at this time of year was dry. Still enjoyed it and got a very good deal so all in all I would play it again.

It’s a bit of a haul to great to Estrella but once there it a delight to play. The only thing to be improved is several bunkers need more sand

Course layout is great and you can’t beat the course conditions for the summer.

Let me start by saying that, I love playing this course. I've played the course a dozen times over the last two years and have never had a bad experience.

The course conditions were and are excellent. The fairways were like hitting off of carpet, The greens were not overly fast and rolled true. Pace of play was good (4 hrs.15 min.)

The staff from the pro shop to the starter to the course marshal were all friendly and helpful.

During the summer months, the greens fees were quite inexpensive, making it a great value. We simply played early to avoid the much of the high temps.

I've played Estrella many times over the years, but this was by far the best condition I have EVER seen the course. They are obviously taking a lot of time and care. Greens - smooth. Fairways - perfect. And it's the middle of summer when most courses in the area are struggling to stay in shape. Nice job staff at Estrella!

Had an all-around good time! Played from the back tees and took on the full challenge. Love the layout; fairways and greens were in nice shape. Pace of play was good and staff was friendly. There you have it.
