Falcon Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. The land was redeveloped to
an industrial/warehouse area.
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

Falcon Golf Course
This course is much improved from my last time playing there. I belive there is new ownership & they are really making an effort to restore the course.
If you haven't played here lately......
The fairways are plush and the greens are great. They had a watering issue a couple of weeks ago but that has been fixed and the course is in great shape. There is no better staff than the people at Falcon, from the pro shop to the maintenance workers.
If you haven't played here in the last few weeks you are missing out on a great course at a very reasonable price.
awesome
this place in an untold gem on the west side. great course (fun) and has it challenging holes. and staff is the best. i play here all the time since i live close . no waiting , great range, always a good time.
Nice track
Great value for the money. If you like peace and quiet this isn't the place for you as it is right next to Luke air force base and the jets are coming and going all the time.
Good Value
Thecourse is good value for the recreational golfer. Greens are a bit shaggy and therefore quite slow.
Wet and muddy
Played here a few times a few years back and my wife and I liked it but we stopped playing because it was very wet and muddy, played here again a few times in the past few weeks and the same... wet and muddy, course is known for being wet, played late Sunday and the whole course was so muddy everywhere, irons took a 2" deep divot, clubs, ball and shoes were always muddy, bunkers are almost unplayable, I do like the course and staff is friendly but enough with the water
Over seeding was only ok. Golf course was wet and sloppy. Bunkers had little to no sand. Bunkers were also wet and packed down.
1st time
Pretty nice course. Fairways are wide, greens were recently seeded and cut.
Muddy mess
This course was so over watered! Every Fairway was soggy. Had to clean & place ball then you had to be careful where you stepped. Had to wipe mud off Club with every shot. Greens were slow. Will never go back!
Nice casual course!
The course is in pretty good shape, bunkers are hard or wet which makes them difficult to play. But luckily there aren't to many! Played as a two some and it was a little slow but OK.
This course is in the best shape in the six years I've played it.
Just after the over seeding and the course is set up to restrict travel on the fairways. Not a complaint an observation we are there to play golf not drive carts. Smart move and the fairways are in great shape. Obviously they are watering heavy and this should keep it in good shape. It appears they are working on the course edges and waste areas that really need it. Good Job. Thanks
Over booking
Due to over seeding the course was good. What really upset us was the over booking of the times. The course had a tournament set for the early morning. Shot gun start on all 18 holes. The course or golf now must not have blocked these tee times since I booked my tee time in the middle of the tournament. Out tee time was only two hours different from the tournament start times. It took 5.5 hours to play since we were told we had to wait for the tournament to finish. Would have been easier to just block those tee times for the tournament to save the confusion (5 groups were effected). I was upset the time frame to play was so long due to poor planning between them course and golf now.
Discourse plays Fair
I arrived at this golf course and had a long ride up the 9th Fairway. The roadway that takes you into the facility then turns into a large parking area just south of Luke Air Force Base Flightline. Some areas where overgrown. Some areas needed a lot more manicuring. The staff were extremely friendly period cost was $19 and change. Most courses at this time of year or shut down. Falcon Golf Club chose to remain open hints putting off their overseeding. The course is hard and fast right now. Greens are playable. Overall the course gets three and a half Stars.
Great staff
Had a small situation about price.
Mark and Mike handled the situation quickly and kept us happy. Two nice guyz.
Nice track for the $$$
The rough is very rough
The course was good but the rough was real rough. Course needs a brush cutter "flail" to clean up the rough. Not very scenic. Better markings on the course are needed.
