Falcon Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. The land was redeveloped to
an industrial/warehouse area.
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

Nice compact course
I found the Falcon is a fun but also demanding course. After 3 months in Europe this course was just what I needed to get back in the flow. I will be back!
Need Marshalls to keep up the pace
The pace of play was horrible. Tee off at 8:20 am too many people on the course, waiting time was way too long, did not finish course due to time.
Talking about a bang for your buck! This course is a hidden gem. Carl at the pro shop is very helpful and friendly. Golf pro mark will help you with your game. Only bad thing I can say about the course is the greens where a little slow but they are doing a lot of improvements on the course. Looking forward to play it again
Much better condition now
Impressed how new ownership improved the condition of the course. If you played here before you know how bad it was. Please keep it up worth recommending to friends. Bring your own water and ice $2 for a styro cup cup with ice and water too much.
Falcon golf
Course was not well maintained. Lot of fallen trees n grass cuttings all over the course. Be ware of mosquitoes. If you are looking for cheap and almost fair conditions then not too bad. For a little more money you could play better in the Phoenix area.
Laborday golf
Had a good time at the Falcon, hot day but a lot of fun.
Mosquitoes
This course is set up to be challenging and fun, but maintenance is lacking . There were all the falling trees and they need to invest in some weed whackers. The Courses just in rough shape. At the time we checked in that they had a slight bug problem and we might need some bug spray. I’ve never been attacked by mosquitoes as badly as I was on this course, and I’ve golfed in Florida I hope this was a temporary problem in that the fairways and roughs will get better attention in the future.
good value
they were cleaning up the course from the storm that passed through a few days earlier. bunkers need some work. rough was way too deep in certain spots but will be fine after being cut. greens and fairways were very good.
Falcon Golf Club poor conditions
Course was in terrible shape!!! Weeds were so tall, you couldn't find our ballad. Poorly manicured and the course was infested with bugs of all sorts. At end of round my eyes were almost swollen shut. Will not be back. Used to be a nice course, don't know what happened.
Needs some TLC.
This course could be fantastic like it was at the opening. Since the numerous ownership changes, this course has slipped dramatically backwards. Good owners mean good golf course, poor owners mean poor golf course. Layout is great but the grooming just isn't there.
definitely worth the money
I used to play this course about 10 times/year. I moved away 5 years ago. This is the first time I've played since I moved. The fairways and greens (a little slow) are better now than they ever were, back then.
Due to the large amount of rain they've had recently, the rough has not been cut for a few days. DON'T hit it in the rough, it's not easy.
I will return. It's fun to play.
Unexpected improvements
I played here 2 years ago with my father in law. The course was alright but needed some serious attention. Just took my 13 year old daughter to play, mostly see we could watch the jets fly around. I was very surprised how good the course was. The greens were a little slow, but all 18 were consistent. They had just done some maintenance on them which explains the speed. The fairways were green and full. I will absolutely play there again!
Great course for the money...awesome staff. I'll be back for sure. Course was in great shape, very fun time.
No jets that day
Greens were VERY slow, the course was in good shape, pace of play was great. New management and we caught it with a free hotdog and coke at the end of the round! Made it a great deal!
Little value
Yes it is cheap to play there but still too much for what you get. Bunkers are terrible (majority of them), fairways are much too tight, rough (weeds and overgrown bushes and trees) are almost impossible to find your balls in. Staff is friendly, but the amenities are third rate (possibly lower). I would rather spend $5 more and play a decent course with good amenities. Plenty of those around.
Playing the back nine twice sucked.
They were punching and sanding the front nine and didn't let GolfNow know. It'll be awhile before I go back.
very nice
the greens were slow but true, fairways and tee boxes were very good.... $2 cold beers are a +.... the course is being improved, some reviewers expect augusta natl for $25.... good value course... the greens probably needed to be cut...
