Falcon Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. The land was redeveloped to
an industrial/warehouse area.
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

Guarded by Sand & F 16's
Playing Falcon for the first time I was very surprised and pleased with the course. The front nine was challenging, the back nine less so. The fairways are generally wide and forgiving for slight draws and/or fades. The greens were indeed green for this time of year (Late June). The White distance is 6200+ yards meaning the mid-irons come into play quite a bit for the second shots on the par 4's. I would recommend this course for the intermediate golfer and, because of the value ($), will return to this facility.
Good value
Prior to booking the website made it very clear that they are aerating the course---that being said the greens are very inconsistent right now but overall the course is well worth the money especially when They keep it at a reasonable rate – when falcon bumps up the price because they "can" it does not make it worth it. Under $25/round is worth it on this course.
Golf with a air show
Its one of the best keep secrets in the West Vally. Great golf course with a air show from the jets landing and taking off from Luke Air Force base. The 9 hole and the 14 runs right along the run way.
West Valley Gem
Nice little golf course tucked between Litchfield Park & Luke AFB. Fairways & greens are always in good condition. Love the 3-4 long par 5s. The real treat is on the back 9: watching the jets take off from Luke. Excellent value!
Falcon
Greens were good. Fairways not so good. The threesome I joined were friendly but slow players. The course is fairly open and a good layout. Seem tougher than rating and slope.
More open
few year go is more bush trees. Now more open.
We can find ball easily. Or so green condition is good now.
gofer problem
There were gofers everywhere. Little holes all over the place. Other than that it was an okay course.
GOOD VALUE / BUT...
GREEN FEES WERE A GOOD PRICE, BUT COURSE WAS A LITTLE ROUGH CONSIDERING WE HAVEN'T EVEN HIT SUMMER YET. FAIRWAYS WERE REALLY HARD AND THE BUNKERS... WELL LET JUST SAY WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH THE BUNKER THERE IS NO SIGN OF A FOOT PRINT!!!!!! BUT FOR THE PRICE I GUESS YOU CANT COMPLAIN TO MUCH
Great course
Really great course for the money, fast greens! Will definitely play again!
Environnement
Qualité du service absent en ce temps-ci. Aucun personnel pour s'occuper de nous pour prendre possession du cart. Endroit très bruyant, proximité d'avion de chasse qui font des décollages et exercices fréquents.
Falcon Club Golf Review
Very nice course, friendly staff. The cost for a rider (non golfer) was reasonable $10. I have been charged as much as $25 for rider's fees at other courses in town.
very good par 3
price good, fast play, fair way grass cut to short
Great time
My brother and my self had a great time playing this course we will be playing many more rounds there
Ok course
Was really slow. It's a ok course. Lots of gopher holes. Motorcycle track was going on on Sunday morning so it was noisy on a few holes.
Great layout for all skill levels
This course is in wonderful shape. Greens were excellent. If you don't mind the noise of the motorcycles at the track next to the course it's a great experience.
ok course for the money
Don't expect much here. greens were true, and held the ball well. pretty slow putting, but true. if your off the fairways, your pretty much in hard pack dirt/dust. we paid 33$ for a early afternoon round, and it was worth it.
we played a saturday and the Jets were not flying over. I was disappointed others in our group were happy.
Pretty good
Needs a lot of work around the edges to only the fairways but bunkers, etc. Bunkers need conditioning with new sand plus fluffing with either machine or by hand, Greens are above average but need to her rolled at imps to allow speed to generate.
Overall the rating of 3.5 is justified. I am a person that looks at the little things. They can make or break a course. A few sprays of weed control would help. Control carts through the desert. Rope good along way. Several areas of desert had cart ruts.
Great golf course for the money.
This golf course is great if you are looking to get out and play. The course itself isn't much of a challenge, but it has a fair amount of fairway bunkers with hard sand in them. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get out with some buddies and have some fun playing golf.
Best kept secret
What a great place to play golf. It is a bit noisy from all the F-16's taking off and landing next to the course (How cool is that?) I'll tell ya " It's very cool. Course is and has been in great shape for many years now. Every now and then, a group of weekend hackers slow play way down by thinking they should play from the "tips". If these people would heed Jack Nicolas's advise of " play it forward" , play would be much faster. All in all, great course, and Lori, you Rock.
