Falcon Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. The land was redeveloped to
an industrial/warehouse area.
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

slow
there is no marshalls to regulate play. 5 hours to play! too slow.
nice course
Course was in great shape, only problem the greens were very slow, needed to be mowed lower.
This course is player friendly
A surprising great round with another walk-on and a husband and wife. The wife was a former college player who was long enough that all of us played from the back tees. The course was in great shape and pace of play was exactly four hours, perfect round.
Nice lay out
I have played this course a lot and the greens are really good. But today the greens were really slow you had to blast your putts.
Great Friday with friends
Great course for the money...will play here again.
good course for the price you pay
Pace of play is slow in the afternoon and a marshal is required to speed up play, bunkers need a lot of attention most of them are like concrete. But for the rest course is in good shape. While jets are distracting I enjoy the airshow. Good value for your money.
Falcon- near airforce base
A slow round on a average GC. The jet were very loud a times. Very playable for mid to high handicap players. Good price for a riding round from golf I enjoyed. No house nearby.
a nice surprise. Great value for Phoenix area in the winter.
A challenging but not overwhelming course for the average golfer.
5+ Hours For A Round
Good value, but the 5+ hours is too long. Hole #6, par 3 took 30 minutes to get on the tee box!
No 6 challenging par 3
Great course to play. Some challenging holes. Bunkers on every hole.
Great value for the money
All good. carts appear in better shape then before.
Course in great shape
My wife and I have played here before and it was in the best condition we have ever seen it. As usual, pace of play was slow and we were waiting on every shot. Four groups on par three.
A Little Tricky
After a couple holes, I thought this course would be easy. Then, after finding myself in trouble a few times, I realized this course had some challenges. It was fun though and I enjoyed it.
Several traps needed some work (either not enough sand, muddy, or both) but the course was otherwise in good condition. I found the greens a little slow but true.
good bang for the buck
club house staff was very accommodating, cart girl was more interested in her cell phone then severing the golfers on the course. Greens a little slow but putted true. keep it in the fairways or their is trouble. side note: the tee boxes were often wet.
Fun course
This is an entertaining 18 holes...unlike anything in Sun City. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Pace of play was okay. For the price, this is worth you effort to get there.
Yes, there is the fact that F-16's are constantly coming and going and that can be either a distraction or an attraction....depending on how you choose to interpret it. I found the air show interesting.
Certainly more challenging than typical Sun City courses
Bad things: tiny prefab club house, barely enough carts to fill the course, construction class entrance drive, no rangers, strange routing entangles cart paths around tee boxes from different holes. Good things; excellent turf, slow but good greens, many hazards (bushes, desert, bunkers, trees, water), quite scenic from many tees, excellent practice facilities.
worth the money
Fairways tees and Greens are in the best shape thay have been in years. Pace is a little slow but we did get done in under 4 1/2 hours. We had fun and will come back soon and often. The Luke jets shaking the ground and roaring in your ears is part of the fun of Falcom.
This corse had personality
Would play course again. Very good greens and fairways. Jets are loud.
Backed up 4 groups deep on some holes
No marshal to speed things along. People playing multiple balls. We were hit into 3 times by players in group behind. They scheduled way too many tee times . They need to get a liquor license. Longest round I ever played
