Falcon Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. The land was redeveloped to
an industrial/warehouse area.
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

GREAT VALUE - FUN COURSE
Perfect value. Always nice to see the jets. Enjoyed the afternoon, a bit slow, but good conditions.
Very Slow Round
They put way too many people on in one day, our tee time was delayed over an hour because at least 7 groups were ahead of us. Also, they don't have as many carts.
falcon golf club
The course was packed, the first 9 holes was slow but things sped up on the back 9. Course is in good fast shape. Much enjoyed the round.
We'll never return, worst pace of play ever experienced!
Due to the intolerable pace of play, it took us 3 hours and 5 minutes to play the front nine...not an exaggeration! The back nine was no better and we were forced to quit after 14th hole in order to meet our next commitment. Absolutely ridiculous.
The fairways and greens are pretty good. The "rough" and traps are generally poor.
Air Show
This is the best place to watch the F16s while plating the game you love. Because it was the day after "Luke Days" there wasn't a lot flying. The course, the company, and the staff made it a wonderfull day.
I will be back often because I like the course, location and the pace of play.
Mark Goss.
Great value for the price
Course in great shape, pace of play was slow...but enjoyable day watching the planes
Airport view
Paired up with visitors from Chicago. Took 4 1/2 hours. greens medium slow pace but in excellent condition. Plenty of activity at Luke Air Base right next door.
Good price.
Coarse was average and in pretty good shape. The price was right to just get out and practice.
Great Conditions
The course is in great shape with the fairways, greens and tee boxes in great shape. Grass is wonderful. Course is busy but still finish in good time. Enjoy.
Great course
We enjoyed playing the course due to the great shape of fairways and greens. We enjoyed the thundering of the jets in Luke airbase too.
Pace
Was here for 3rd time and always the same - very slow ! We played the front nine again to get away from waiting so long for each shot . Does anybody use marshals to check pace. Maybe they sell their tee times 5 minutes apart. Many many gophers and gopher holes .
Golf Course with a Roar
good golf course, I know a lot of golfers play the course but they need to have marshals on the course to keep play the way it should be.
good facilities
I was rain out at the 3rd hole I am souking wet I did not continue I did not get a rain check..
Nice Course
First off, let me say tat this is an INEXPENSIVE round of golf.
However, for what you pay, the experience is excellent. The one and ONLY concern was the pace of play....... 4H 45M is wayyyyyyyy too long, I've played this course before without this issue though, so I hope it was just the two pathetic groups ahead of us.
All in all, good day!
Nice...it's good for average golfer
My friends from out of states and I like it because we are the average golfers. We learned a lot after mistakes like greens have tricky. A kind of fun including Air Force jets flew around
Great hidden gem in west valley...but pace of play...out of control.
I played this course once last winter on a really cold frost delayed morning that was a little tough to make a true call of the course on. This round however was played in perfect conditions on an 11:30 tee time. I teed off on time, and finished at 5:00 pm....outrageous pace of play for a friday. The fact that there are no rangers whatsoever on a course that is completely overrun with "snowbird" plates in the parking lot, is all you need to know to get the answer to that Q. The facilities at the course are very average. They are adequate enough to get the job done. I also warn you that the course backs up to a runway at Luke AFB, so it gets pretty loud out there with jets taking off all the time. So, enough with the negatives to the course. The course itself is in pretty good shape. The greens are solid and true. They roll to about a 9 on the stimp right now. The fairways are well kept and roll well. The bunkers, for the most part are pretty playable. The layout presents a nice mix of tough and easy holes. The course only plays to about 6800 from the tips....but there are a few holes that will really put you to the test. The big kicker for this course is the really low greens fees...25 bucks at 11:30 on Friday...in winter in AZ??? I just wish I didn't live 40 miles from the course.
Highly recommend playing this course.
One of my favorite courses to play when we are in Sun City.
Windy and noisy, but fun!
We played on a windy day, which made the course a little more difficult than usual. Planes zooming overhead, especially on the back 9 offer an enjoyable distraction. Somewhat difficult par 3's. Or was it just me? A fun course. We will definitely return.
ok course
slow play and rough greens beer lady we only saw once
