Falcon Golf Club
About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business. The land was redeveloped to
an industrial/warehouse area.
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

Pleasantly surprised!
I will definitely be back. We had a great round. We even stopped for 10 minutes to take videos of the "falcons" from Luke AFB.
This is a terrific value. The staff great.
I play this course frequently. The practice facility is terrific and has been improved recently and it is well maintained. The course is in good shape. And there is minimal delay getting around it. Again, it is a great value and the people there are great.
The course played well
Tee boxes: good shape
Fairways: had some sun burned areas but overall pretty decent
Greens: some greens had some rough areas but rolled really nice
Layout of course is challenging but won't tick you off.
The Falcon is such an enjoyable golf course design
Staff is friendly
Range balls are in good condition
The beverage cart came by regularly
The golf course condition leaves a lot to be desired - greens could be OK by June but I wouldn't count on it. Traps are crusty like uncared for sifted dirt. I good lie in the fairway is unusual.
I love this course
I have only been playing golf for a few months, but I enjoy it every time that I play here. Course is maintained and it is continuing to get better. Best course for the money in the West Valley.
Very nice course. Well maintained with almost perfect greens.
Falcon is good value for your money. Course is well maintained and the greens and tees are in exceptional condition. Fairways are very nice with light rough. It can be a little dry in places but that is probably due to the time of year.
This course has nice greens
I really enjoyed the greens at Falcon Golf Club they were well maintained and rolled very well. The course has alot of bunkers so it challenges you to place your shots accordingly The staff is very friendly and honest as I had left my Cell Phone in the cart and a staff member found it turned it in to the pro-shop who in turn went through the contact list and called my Wife to let her know that they had it. Thanks again!
Free Air Show
Very nice course layout. You will need some direction control if you want to stay out of the sand traps. Greens and fairways were in good shape. Best part was the free Air show from the nearby Luke Airbase. Completed all 18 in under 4 hours.
truely enjoy this course
Very nice. Could use a few more outhouses, otherwise I always enjoy coming out to this course.
Fun round at Falcon
I am a yearly visitor to the Valley and I always enjoy returning to Falcon Club for a round or two. By now I know the course well, but friends who have played for the first time enjoy it as well. Kinda enjoy seeing/hearing the jets take off from Luke AFB next door, too. Yesterday the greens were hard to read. Differences in speed from green to green. Having said that, the ball set up well on the fairways and the greens were in great shape. I'll play it again soon.
Great value
This course is difficult enough to attract the experienced golfer and yet moderate enough for the novice. Great (read that GREAT) value for the price. The greens on this course are better than greens on courses costing 2 & 3 times the green fees here.
Windy in the afternoon.
Fun layout but the afternoon wind made it difficult to stay on fairway and out of the scrub brush. The flat terrain makes it hard to judge distances due to depth perception. These are two reasons that play was so slow.
Close but fun
The lay out of the holes were too close to each other on the front 9, but the back 9 made up for it. Not a bad course for beginners
The course had some tough holes and some water to deal with but ok
It took over 5 hrs. to play, will not allow in bevarage to be brought in. Their beverage cart had last call at 3:30PM. All the water containers on course were empty. Would not allow you to drive cart to your car. Would not play again.
Course is well maintained and has very good greens.
A fun course to play. Its usually in good condition and has very good greens. Overseeding done well so farways are good. Driving range is very good and was overseeded. Good practice green for chipping and sand practice. Sand traps are inconsistent. Some are hard and some have new sand which is very soft. Traps not well maintained & wrong wide tooth rakes are used to rack the traps. Pace of play was 5 hours. Need rangers to speed up play or have more time between tee times.
Decent but could be great.
The first impression is one of incompleteness. Most courses here are used to sell real estate-this course has no homes lining the fairways-nice. The views are great; mountains west and south. The practice facilities are simple but adequate and the practice green gives the promise of some very slick tricky greens. The people I was hooked up with and I estimated the speed at between 10 and 11. Then we got on the course and the actual greens were sssllllooooowwwwww. And inconsistent. The hole layout is nice with enough water and bunkers to keep you on your toes. But please, shave the greens.
I always have fun when I play this course.
I love playing at the Falcon Golf Course. Every time that I go, I have a great time. It starts with the friendly people in the club house. The pace of play is usually faster pace compared to other courses in the area. I will continue to book rounds here and hope to get my friends to do the same.
Falcon is a really fun course, highly recommend it !
Great friendly staff, they take exceptional care of course, and the snack bar has great food.Cart girl comes around quite often too ! Other courses could take lessons from them on how to run their course !
Good course for the money
We had a great time playing Falcon yesterday. We had a foursome with varied levels of skill and it accomodated all of us. The course is in good shape and the greens were the best we've played this year. We will be back.
Ok for the price
The greens are ok....slow, furry, and bumpy. Its is a decent layout though. Not bad for $29. Waited on every hole too.
