About
The Gold Course is one of three 18-hole courses offered at the Wigwam Resort, which was named one of Golf Magazine's "Silver Medal Resorts." Golf Digest cited the Gold Course as one of the best public courses in the state. Mature trees are present on all of the courses, as well as winding creeks that create water hazards, which come into play on several holes. There are also strategically placed sand bunkers present on the course. The rolling landscape of the course causes elevation changes that can affect shots. The Wigwam Resort facility also has a putting green and chipping area.

Great day for golf
The course was in excellent condition and the staff were very friendly. The Gold course was probably a little over my level thou I truly enjoyed the round . I would come back and play another course at the Wigwam . Great golf
Best for Less !
The Gold Course is a true gem, where Robert Trent Jones Sr. developed a masterpiece. Every shot has subtle consequences yet there are always several options to limit damage, and many ways to make birdie. The greens are fairly quick, but best be below the hole. The bunkers are the best in the Phoenix region. The approach shots needed are varied, and the greens will hold a pure strike. I'm a 5 handicap, and after 16 holes, was 6 over par. Ugh to strong wind on 17 and the canal on 18. Fantastic finishing hole.......classic. All I can say is beware a front pin on 18. This course will be relevant for 100 years, because it may be perfect.
Wigwam golf experience
Our foursome had a great golf experience on the Gold course. There is a good selection of tees to help even the challenges of this course. The pace of play was fine with the temp near 100F. The course is very well maintained, with fast greens, great practise and warmup area.

We played the gold and it was difficult, but it was amazing.
Wigwam Gold Course
The golf course was challenging and in great shape. It is different from the average desert course. Lush fairways and is more like your typical country club layout. Overall I would definitely play this course again and try to play its other two courses in the future.
Trash in the canal !!
The trash floating in the canal was absolutely disgusting. Wigwam should be ashamed of the way they take care of their property !!
Great sand, well maintained golf course.
Our foursome followed a twosome and there was a slight wait on each of the first 7 holes. Evidently the Marshall asked them to speed up and all of a sudden they quickly were a hole ahead. The Marshall came by to let us know we were now behind this twosome. We explained we had been waiting until just now. He said, "you are now on the clock". I explained again that our group plays fast and we usually play in 3 1/2 or 3 3/4 hours at Corte Bella. He did not seem interested, was in fact a little rude. We teed off at 8:30 am, finished at noon which is 3 1/2 hours. Have never been put on the clock before, and obviously it was not necessary.
Standard layout, tough greens
Course was in good shape, and the staff was very friendly.
The greens are raised, and the slope was challenging. It's a different look from most of the courses in the area, including the other two Wigwam courses.
Probably a little too much for a hacker like me, but the price is fair considering what you get. Would recommend to anyone.

Gold course was really nice but women's yardage was too long for most.

Bring your A game. Long and unforgiving. Fairways generous but you better be sharp with your irons or be good with your sand wedge. Very difficult pin positions on back. Course conditions superb. A must play.
Great course. Played the orange tees. Surprise to see some tee boxes in the fairway Don't know if they are permanent or just there as temporary Greens rolled well. Tough to have shots hold on the greens. Would play again
