Longbow Golf Club
About
The Longbow Golf Club offers 18 holes of par-71 golf that measures 7,050 yards from the Black tees.
A round of golf at the Longbow Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which measures 451 yards from the tips. The back nine kicks off on the monstrous 10th hole, a par 5 that comes in at 626 yards from the tips. The round of golf ends up a bit easier, with only 474 yards separating the tips tee from the hole, a distance that the golf club recommends golfers clear in four strokes.
Longbow Golf Club offers SoloRider golf carts, allowing golfers with disabilities the chance to get around the golf course, as the carts are able to drive right on the greens without causing any damage.

Red Mountain overlooking Longbow Photo submitted by Rick7542173 on 08/15/2013
Great for all golfers
What a course for the money! Very nice course and very nice staff. Can’t beat the value.
Thanks!
Wonderful experience
Played today greens in pretty good shape for just having them punched a week ago Fairways in excellent shape t-boxes as always in wonderful shape staff was great will definitely be back to play again
Punched greens with no heads up
Tried to book other courses but when I did a notification showed up in red saying “aerification alert”. So I looked at other places. Longbow was it. I booked it. $50. Little high for summer but whatever. Show up to pay and they said they just punched the greens 4 days prior. No notification. Still charging $50 and no heads up online or on golf now?
Not happy about that.
In Transition
The front 9 of Longbow GC was closed on our day of play due to aerification plans (not advertised at time of booking), causing us to play the back 9 twice. Tees were in generally good shape; fairways were fair (grass was a little sparse in places); traps nearest greens were full of fluffy sand; greens were firm and fast. Pace of play was excellent (they kept some openings between tee times to minimize overlap with those making the turn). Value was there given reduced rates were available. Course should be in excellent shape after 2-3 weeks of recovery from this summer aerification project.
Tee'd off right before 2pm. 112 degrees out. Understandably course had a few browning areas (fairways) but tee box and greens in good shape.
Hardly anyone out there so pace of play was great.
They were doing aerification the next day so our timing was perfect.
Really like the layout of this course. Will definitely play again.
Pace of play
They do not schedule properly and had three singles behind a group of five.
Cart Died - No Pro Shop to help
I was really looking forward to playing longbow. The course was in good shape, and there is plentiful water for players to drink every few holes. The day we played it was ~115*F and the sun was very strong as well.
My partner and I got through 10 holes when our cart died. I called the clubhouse but they did not pick up or were closed. My partner walked down to the clubhouse but could not find anyone to assist us. I'm a healthy young person, but I have an antique golf bag with broken straps and the bag alone weighs ~20lbs, and when you add in the clubs that adds another ~20lbs. So we ended up pushing the cart for 3 more holes before we said 'screw it' and pushed the cart back to the bag drop area and quit. It was way too hot to exert ourselves like that.
I really want to rate Longbow highly, but we only got to play 12.5 holes, we couldn't get in contact with anyone to get another cart, and when we finally returned the cart (by pushing it for close to a mile) the staff member did not have any sympathy for us, offer us a free 9, or apologize for not being able to be located or helped out.
Probably would be at least 4 stars if not 5 if there were no cart issues, but we couldn't get the help we needed unfortunately.
Good conditions for summer
First time playing here and I was impressed by the course layout and conditions. Great prices during summer too.

The course was in good condition, but the bunkers had dirt instead of sand. This made it difficult to get out of the bunkers when the dirt was wet.
Sleeper course
This course played extremely well and is a tucked away hidden gem! Would love to play here in fall/winter months where could enjoy it outside the 110° I played in. Pace of play was ok. We passed a 4some at the turn and finished back in 1.5 hrs. 3.5 hrs total round time.
Longbow was Looking Good
Course was in very good shape and the greens were very fast but smooth but they held on approach shots (not always the case here) Tee boxes and fairways were very nice. Bunkers had a lot of water making things kind of compacted. Overall a very nicely maintained course.
Good shape
Besides a few brown spots excellent shape. Doing some work on the practice putting green but real greens roll fast and true.

It appears you booked your tee time on GolfNow. We provide them with notices and request that they post them. We provided them the aerification dates of July 18-19 and even though the greens are fully restored after two weeks, the notice should remain on the Longbow Golf Club page of all third party booking engines as it does on bookings and tee time confirmations from the the Longbow Golf Club home page. Come back for a “rain check” round and write another review on the greens now! Thx
