Fairways were fine but not nearly enough seeding done on the greens. Lots of bare patches and sand which made the greens slow and bumpy

My wife and I really loved the course set up......great design with a good mix of challenge and some great views from some awesome elevated tees.

I don't understand how a course with so much potential is in such poor shape!! This course would give both near by Whirlwind courses some serious competition if they would put some money and attention into it! It is a far better design than Foothills which is just down the street.

So so sad......I hope if we come back it will be in better shape.

Really enjoy playing here, but I have to say, for the price there are better options.

Last day of our week long vacation and looking for a nice desert course. Club West did not disappoint. Started just the 2 of us with no one in sight but caught a twosome after 4 holes. Waved a twosome behind us through but they opted to join us as we weren't getting past the group ahead. Turned into a very enjoyable round with a couple great guys from the area. Fairways were in very good shape and rough was very playable, different than what I'm used to at home. Greens held and rolled very well but didn't seem to have the break that was expected. Still a little evidence of top dressing so to be expected. Staff was outstanding and friendly, kitchen and pro shop. Breakfast is a very tasty start to the round.

I haven't played this course in over ten years. Its not close to where I live and based on past reviews I have avoided this course. Reading some of the more recent reviews and having a few days off I decided to give it a try. I am glad I did. I was pleasantly surprised. The course was in overall good shape. The greens seemed a little thin and a little bumpy in spots but overall rolled good. Fairways were in good shape with decent lies. Sand traps were inconsistent as far as sand went, some hard and thin and others had more sand. I was paired up with a very nice threesome which made it even more enjoyable. Course has a nice layout with some holes providing great views. The range is okay and has a nice practice area, however the range balls are less than desirable. If your going to practice chipping you will want to use your own golfballs. If live in the area its a good local course to play.

Although there has been lack of water issues this year, the course is in good,shape. The greens run true and the fairways are in good shape. The two elevated par three's on the back nine are scenic and the course, though plays short, offers plenty of challenges for all skills of golfers.

Course layout was fantastic and fairways were in good shape. However, the greens were pitted but not from pitch marks. It was almost like the greens diseased. Practice green was the same way. You could never get a true roll. Everything else was great! There were nice mountain/foothills views and staff was very friendly.

I played this course at the end of summer it was not acceptable. After reading a few recent reviews and getting a hot deal on Golfnow I took a chance and I was very plsently surprised at what great condition the course was in. The fairways were exelent when I managed to land in them and the green were running at about an 8 and very true.

Hadn't played this course in over 20 years was looking forward to playing it now that I'm a better player.

Price was right,greens good shape not to fast 8 fun course...

Geens were in poor condition,fairways were average and desert rough was poorly landscaped.

I had not played this course in several years and was pleasantly surprised at what great shape it was in, their overseed took tremendously and there were virtually no bad lies to speak of, great value for the dollar !!!

I was in Phoenix for a few days and wanted to get a round in before heading back to San Diego on Saturday.

Let me first say the guys in the pro shop and outside, setting up carts for the day, were excellent. Very accomidating. They allowed me to get my round started early to be able to get back to my hotel for check out.

Bunkers and fairways were great, my only complaint would be the greens at some holes could be better. Other than that everything else was great.

I saw the cart girl twice before my round was over which was impressive considering I started my round in the dark and was playing pretty fast. Next time I'm in the area I will definitely be back to play Club West.

I was impressed. For the price and the season, this was a terrific course. The sand was soft; some standing water in some bunkers. But overall course was in great shape!

Course was in great shape. We were able to get on early. There was no one ahead of us or behind us during our game. Wonderful day!

Had a blast! very good track.....wish folks would fix ball marks on greens...and the sand close to greens could use more fluff in sand..

We missed our tee time and the staff worked very hard to squeeze us in.

Buddy and I went off at 6:48, first round of the day, we flew through and two and a half hours starter was very helpful in getting us out the gal behind the bar in his coffee had a great time we'll be back

Hot deal on Golf now and albeit we were about 15 minutes late teeing off, pace of play was good for a Saturday afternoon. Didn't get to finish the 18th hole but did not tee off until 1-45. Would definitely play again and recommend others of all abilities play the course.
