Raven Golf Club - Phoenix features a one-of-a-kind round of desert golf. Everything was amazing, but….
The greens are cooked. Absolutely rock hard and won’t even hold the softest of pitch shots. Had a lot of good approach shots land on the green and roll off. Putting was like being on an ice rink. They’re just baked out and could use some TLC. Everything else was amazing though, staff is extremely receptive and friendly, practice/warmup area is in great shape, and the layout makes you forget you’re in Phoenix. Will play again but hope they get the greens figured out. I know it’s summer but even just a bit more attention will go a long way.

Course was great little bit of a issue with booking through golf now but the guys in the pro shop cleaned it up for me. Great track in Phoenix.

Average
Average course in layout and amenities. Granted it was May and beginning of off season but greens were in horrible shape and the fairways were average condition. Too many other good/excellent courses in the valley to come back.

Must Play Excellent Golf Course
If you are tired of Arizona Desert Golf Courses, then this golf course is for you. The green trees and water make you feel like you are somewhere else. We had a blast playing The Raven and we will be back soon.

Not your typical desert style golf course, lots off trees but a great layout none the less in B+ conditions

Very playable and a good value
This is my first time playing this course. I’ve always wanted to play here but I just never got around to it. It’s not cheap, but it’s worth the extra money if you’d like a solid experience on a very well maintained golf course. Forgiving off the tee, but some definitely tricky greens. The par 3 7th hole was my favorite. Bunkers and water left, slightly uphill and 205 yds. Just a great hole. Some really well-designed holes all around. I’ll definitely be back!

Overall, good experience
The course is very nice, quite lush and scenic with many pine trees and Bougainvillea. The fairways and the greens were too long, especially the greens which were quite slow, but still fine. Washrooms were horrible. Play was too slow. there were balls on most fairways from other players or the driving range. Golf carts were verging on filthy, but good GPS. I only mention these things so that they can improve, but it is still a very good experience to play Raven and I would highly recommend. Staff is friendly and the food is very good, especially the lamb sliders were exceptionally great!
