Raven Golf Club - Phoenix

Carts were cart path only but it worked out okay.

We were very pleased with the conditions and layout of the course. Beautiful course, reasonably quiet, imaginative layout. No reason to avoid this course now that post over seeding has kicked in.

We played 4 other courses in the area for the first time and this was solidly our favorite.

Played the Raven twice in the last week and both rounds were very enjoyable. The course is still cart path only after overseeing until Nov17/23 but we still played both rounds in under 4 hours. Course is in great shape and fun to play for all levels of golfer skills. A couple of greens are a bit rough thanks to the damage done by some idiot on an ATV but they should be fully repaired in a week or so with some TLC Fromm the staff.

I got on the course today due do an excellent HOT DEAL. The course is in immaculate condition right after first cut after overseed. I definitely want the give the groundskeeping crew their "props." As a longtime AZ resident I proud see a metro Phoenix course giving greater value over "typical Scottsdale" courses!

First time playing and it didn't disappoint, i will definitely come back.

With reference to "not worth the money" and after we got home from the boys trip we had a discussion with the Course about our experience and have since got the satisfaction we needed, thanks to course Management. Understand that courses need to do renno's and that requires construction that occurs over a period of time. We will probably go back (when construction is completed), next time we are down there and see what the new/updated course layout is like fully grown in.

The back nine was closed and had to play the front two times. Not what I expected, If I had known I would have went to Legacy

I just can’t understand WHY you would take a course like this in almost Perfect condition and Tear it Up just to ‘plant overseed’ ??? I lived in Texas for years and they overseed when the weather eventually turns, but they don’t close the course, turn off the water, tear up the grass or Any of the things these Phoenix courses do ?? Just LEAVE IT ALONE - it’s just about Perfect !!!!

It’s a shame that such a high rated facility doesn’t post on their or Golf now website that the greens have been aired and only the back 9 is available. To charge what they did especially at an 11:00am tee time at 111 degrees I would expect a better price and an update to the maintenance on the course. The saving grace was the course and the people working for the course in all aspects that allowed me to play and enjoy myself especially it being my first time there. I saw other golfers walk away mad and went to play at other courses.

Smooth check in, very friendly and helpful staff. Course was working on bunkers so front closed. They had two pins on each green on the back. Greens recently aerated and not fully healed but were consistent. Pace was awesome at 3 hours. Like the course.

The staff while being very respectful and polite has to deal with a management that will not provide information on the course until after the money is paid. They had nine holes closed and dual pins on the greens making you play the same wholes twice. Nowhere mentioned online and no option to pay at the course only prepaid. I will not be going back and suggest the legacy resort right down the road.

For summer time in AZ the course is well kept! Bunkers have beautiful white sand! I know! Cause I was in there a few times! Haha

The course was is great condition esyfor this time of year. The staff was super courteous and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. The course makes you feel like you’re somewhere else besides Phoenix.
