Ahwatukee Country Club
About
The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

bad news
Greens are horrible. Bumpy, sandy, slow, and patchy. Never seen them worse here.
Good value for the mkney
Good course. Didn’t cost much. Staff was friendly course was taken care of.
Needs work
It appears that the greens keeping staff are in the process of improving the course conditions but they have a ways to go.
Course fairways were in good not great condition. Greens were terrible burnt rough won't do this again until improved!!!!
Didn't like the shape the greens were in. Worth playing for the price
Gone downhill in last month
Since I last played here about four or five weeks ago, the greens have gone completely bad. There appears to be some kind of fungus on a lot of the greens and you’re not even putting on grass.
Do not play here
I paid $100 to play here, and I feel like I got robbed. By far worst condition greens I have ever seen in Arizona. There was essentially no grass what so ever on the greens. This was my first time playing here this winter season of 2026 and saw they were charging more than usually, which resulted to me thinking they upped their game. Nope. I was totally wrong. I have a picture of 18 green when I played and when I tried to say something to guy in the shop, he tried to tell me they all were not like that. I had just finished the course there was 1 good green on the whole course hole 17. He said sorry man it’s a weekend price there’s nothing I can do. I can respect their old rate of $60-70. But $100 is plain robbery. Do not waste your time or money here. Never coming back.
Course needs TLC
Fairways were in poor condition in May places, greens were inconsistent, bumpy, fuzzy, wet, dry and basically poor condition. Way over priced for conditions. Had a low tire on hole 2. Called three times, finally got a replacement cart on 9. Personnel behind counter had to bring it out.
course needs work
The course is beat up on fairways and greens were terrible. Bumpy and they werent even recently aearated. Lots of open tee times, which should have been an indication. Driving range good. Staff nice. Beverage cart around alot.
Greens are trashed
The greens are absolutely trashed. They are spray painted green, but the grass is dead and patchy. Very surprising for February when they should be in the prime of the winter grass.
