The sun shines 350 days a year in Phoenix and you can enjoy this factor at Ahwatukee Country Club. "Ahwatukee" is Crow Indian for "house of dreams", but this could easily be the "golf course of dreams".
The semi-private Ahwatukee Country Club offers an 18-hole golf course designed by John Bulla in 1974 that is open year-round and includes a driving range, as well as a cart included in the greens fee. The golf course is par-72 and measures 6,713 yards from the championship tees.
The Ahwatukee Country Club golf course features a fairly wide-open layout, but has out-of-bounds areas on either side of the fairways - including some with houses, so watch out for those windows - as well as water hazards on some holes. The putting greens play fast.
After a tight front nine on the Ahwatukee Country Club golf course, things open up on a razor-sharp par-4 dogleg 10th hole, with no chance to cut corners: there's a towering forest to the left.

Course management is the worst
The Marshall is the reason the pace of play is so terrible. Both Marshall’s
Wish improvements continue
I like the course. I wish the fairway grass was better. The greens were as expected after reseeding. Fix or tear out the crumbling cement cart path areas please!

Old Faithful
This course is always a good value. Fairways were in great shape. Greens, not so much. It’s an old course and a little run down but as always, the price is right.

Could be nice.
But it needs tons of care and maintenance. Counter Staff is unfriendly as well.

Cheap Twilight rate
Booked GolfNow Twilight rate $22 w/cart. Teed off early and got all 18 in. Tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape ( if I could only stay on the fairway) Rough was just that,,,rough !! Greens were not very smooth...looked like they had been seeded, but needed to be rolled . Over-all good day, but course rating of 3 stars was right on

Greens need work
It's a decent course. The fairways tend to funnel down into the middle, so you have to stay away from the side hills. My husband and I played the course twice during Thanksgiving week 2022. The greens were in pretty rough condition, making putts very difficult to get the pace right. Ball literally jumped like it was going off-roading. I'd be willing to play the course again, if the greens are in better shape.

Better than expected
It's not as bad as some of the other reviews would lead you to believe once you remember you aren't paying top dollar to play here. The course is in acceptable condition for the price in winter and represents a fair value. The condition/speed of the greens were a bit inconsistent from one to the next, and there were numerous small repaired areas, but the overseeded tees and fairways were mostly in good condition. We played early and the pace was great. Enjoyable Johnny Bulla designed course that can easily be walked.

A good course for the money. Staff was great, course condition was good, pace of play was good. Enjoyed our round very much Would definitely play again.

Extremely dissatisfied with your course and pace of play.
Pace of play was appalling, just under three hours to parlay first nine holes. We gave up and came in. No one monitoring pace of play it was just shocking. Parts of course were in dreadful condition.
