Great fun for our group!!
Although this course just reopened the greens were in fantastic condition! They were on the slow side but ran very true and receptive. The fairways were in beautiful condition and I was really surprised how uniform the course conditions were. Great job by the crew to get this course back in playing condition!! The staff, Riley and Tommy, were super friendly and welcoming when our group arrived. We had such a blast on this course. The holes play fairly long for a par three course from the tips but is great for a tune up round for the long hitters. The range was beautiful too with the mountains back drop and perfect grass conditions. Perfect golf course for those that want a relaxed and fun environment with no intimidating pro golfer types making you feel bad for that shanked shot.
decent course
Executive course with some challenging holes. Greens were in decent shape. Enjoyed the round as I only paid $11 via Golfnow. Not a scenic course...with a Jack in the Box almost on one of the fairways, but I will play it again.
Course is up and running needs more work
I played Awhatukee Lakes and it has come a long way since opening back up. They have carts now and all 18 holes are open. The greens and fairways were in good condition a little shaggy but standard for this time of year in AZ. With some more work and upgrades like finishing restrooms, rebuilding clubhouse, getting a snack bar or concession stand up. I think the course would be an excellent place for a short round Par 60 executive course and it has a nice layout. I hope they keep putting in money and work because it's a great course with a lot of potential. I would play it again for the low price and I would say if they cut and roll the greens and get the rest of the course work done soon it's going to stay busy all winter.
Showed up for 630am tee time and no one was there. Waste of time.
Perfect for a quick and stress free round
This course is par 60 with a mix of par 4 and 3 holes. Although I rode, it can easily be walked and would make for a better workout. The course is absolutely playable and the holes are interesting and deliver modest challenge. Aesthetically it still needs work but for the money and time investment it's fine. They also have a very nice practice putting green and am off the turf (no mats) driving range. I am an 8 handicap and shot 65, having never played there before. Distances are a little off compared to the signs, especially on 17, so check with a range finder before you swing.
It’s getting there.
Course just reopened and while it’s not where near perfect it’s definitely playable. Greens rolled well and really that’s what matters most with an executive course. Look forward to continued progress and this hopefully will be back to its former state soon.
Fair course conditions, great value
This is the second time I've played course. Greens by and large in decent shape. Be on the lookout for goose and duck poop. It's everywhere. There's a good number of sand traps and lakes that Gee has not taken the time to bring back. And some of the lakes that do have water also have vegetation growing in them. Not a good look. I'll play it again because it's inexpensive and you can get in 9 holes quickly without being rushed.
Do not go here!!!
I purchased a tee time not looking at the reviews. Will never do that again.. the table to check in was outside and did not have an attendee. The person who was there was asleep in a golf cart. After he woke up I asked to check in and he rudely handed me a score card and told me to have fun. This place is obviously undergoing renovations but it is not ready to be open. My fiancé and I looked for a tee time else where because it was that bad. Please steer clear until this is filling renovated.
Great laid back short course
Good place for a beginner or to bring kids. No club house or any drinks so be prepared. Good deal for the money.
The Lakes
This was the first time playing this course (9 holes) since it re-opened. There are no carts so you either have to carry your clubs or use a hand cart. The weather was awesome and made walking very nice.
The greens were in nice shape. The sand in the traps was weird, kind of like snow slush and not very sand like at all. There are still a number of "lakes" that are not filled up. I wonder why? Of the lakes that did have water, some of them had some very nasty looking sludge floating on top. I also noted the putting green by the driving range was in great shape. There driving range is to be congratulated for allowing players to hit off of grass rather than that awful artificial turf. Despite a handful of issues, I will play the course again because the price is right and hopefully the other nine holes will open up soon.
Rough but okay
My first round of 2022, this course was prefect. Nothing fancy, big enough, good tee box and greens, price. I only didn’t like that there was no check in Vm club house and the kids doing it weren’t friendly nor overly helpful for a first time.
Warm/up coarse
Coarse is still being worked on. Only front 9 is in service. Had be closed for a number or years.
This Golf Course is permanently closed! You're selling tee times to a nonexistent golf course Please refund our money! Thanks

Great future
What a course this could be. Fantastic little layout for an executive course. Needs work of course, but if the owner has the Will to put a little effort into it we’ll have the best little course in Ahwatukee. I really hope the actually try to fix it up. Won’t take much, but it could be a real gem!
Making a comeback
This course has been a closed eye-sore for several years. But add water - and it is back on its way to being a fun executive course in Ahwatukee.
The greens are already up to expectations for in inexpensive AZ course, and they're going to get better. The layout is mature; full size trees and water hazards (with wildlife).
It is a long way from having manicured fairways and a comfortable clubhouse. But it is great to see that the comeback has started.
