A fun morning with a chance ot practise everything.
I am told by staff that the course is actually due to be shut on May 5th, 2013, pending some last minute resolution between the owner and residents. Pity, as it was a great hole for beginners or those working to improve their game ane the driving range was very convenient.
Good practice course
Fair to middling - fairways need maintenance but greens are fast and decent.
Course is in serious need of repair.
For an executive course it is a pretty nice layout. 3 par fours on each side, a couple are very reachable if you are a moderate driver of the ball. Only 1 par 3 is short (under 100 yards). Most holes are well bunkered but need sand. Our twosome was paired up with a local resident who stated the course will be closing in June. As evident by its state of disrepair. Would not recommend this course to my friends.
12 bucks for 18 holes, great deal
We are new to golf, and this is a great course to get your practice in. Staff is friendly, and the course is clean. NOT BAD AT ALL FOR around a buck a hole or so.
The course was in very poor shape.
The course needed major upkeep and repairs throughout including the bridges to cross over at each crossing.a
Good greens
Not a bad course to practice on and your putting. But for the price not a bad course.
This course needs maintenance.
The course appears to be poorly maintained. Ball washers were dry and some broken. None of the course washrooms were working...all toilets were plugged and there was no water available in the washrooms.
course conditon was terrible
Course condition was terrible.Par 4 fairways had little grass, I was hiittng off of hard dirt.Weeds everywhere. The greens were in good condition. I will not play here again.
Could be much better
Poorly maintained tee boxes (only 1 tee box was in decent shape) and fairways were poor throughout. On course washrooms were a disgrace. This course could be so much better if given some TLC. Only real bright spot was that the greens were in great shape.
Not bad squeezing in a round
I play here when I don't have time to play a longer course. I had a 7:15am tee time and played with one other. We finished at about 10:30a. but were almost the first out. The course is by no means pristine, however, it's quite a challenging par 60 with all the water and a cheap weekday tee time. I recommend this course for all high handicappers.
Slide rating bar don't work. Only three choice
Course is great , as usual but needs over-seeding of grass. Playing off bare dirt fairways is a problem for better golfers. Duffers can make the adjustment
It has it's place.
If you are a somewhat serious golfer, this is a great course to take a friend who doesn't play much or who is just starting to learn the game. It is very rough around the edges, but the greens are decent. The layout is interesting and challenging with water hazards and sand traps. The water is clear enough to fish balls out (we did this several times). The price was great and it even included a cart. And, we played 18 holes in 2 1/2 hours.
Jack Doughty
I've played this course several times in years past and always enjoyed it. However I was very disappointed this time. 1st we had to wait 15-20 minutes past our tee time as they were out of carts and were waiting for returns. There were cut up storm damaged trees all over the course and not from recent storms. The greens were ok but certainly not great, they were very shaggy. It took us 4-1/2 hours and we didn't play the last hole as we had other places we needed to be. Group in front of us was very slow and a little inebriated, I think. There were several holes open in front of them on the back nine and never once did we see a ranger. I won't go back.
worst exec course in Arizona
It took nearly 4.5 hours to finish this short executive course. We waited 25 minutes at the 6th hole to tee off. The course is in terrible shape. They do not re-seed for the winter so everything is dead. The bunkers are like concrete. The bathrooms are flooded. There are weeds everywhere in the rough. The only positives: The greens are actually not bad and in above-average condition. The cart concessions were frequent and friendly. The price is a bargain, the driving range is full-length and a bucket of balls are cheap, and the putting practice area is well maintained. I will not waste my time playing this course ever again. Book with caution.
Course in very poor shape
Course was very poor condition in all aspects. Very little grass on the fairways. Not getting watered. Bunkers haven't been raked in weeks. Playing out of bunkers, like hitting off of blacktop. Doesn't look like greens have been mowed in a while.
Trees have been cut down some time ago, even sawed into sections and appeared they have have been left there for a good while. I will certainly scratch this course off of my list..
In awful shape, lack of care for sure.
Played with member, said owner isn't making any money and wants to close, they have lawsuit against him to keep it open.
No sand in traps, everything hare as rock, greens won't accept shots. Beer girl was nice and beer tasted good!
nice course. good value. fairways are in terrible shape.
nice course, good value, fairways in terrible shape
This is a pitch and putt course.
No such things as fairways. Its like hitting off concrete. Water was dirty and only green on was on putting green. Even that looked like a fairway. I was scared to use my irons and clubs. The sand traps are a joke. You get what you pay for. I dont plan on going to this course anytime in the future.
