About
Foothills Golf Club offers 18 holes of golf on a golf course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and built in 1988. The par-72 golf course measures 6,901 yards. Foothills Golf Club sits among the South Mountains, and features a contrast of challenge and forgiveness on a links-style course that allows golfers to play a target layout that has more than 65 bunkers that daunt, fairways that roll and desert that has a lot of rocks. The fabulous championship golf course provides the locale for all levels of golfer to shoot a memorable day of golf.
After taking in the views of the South Mountains on the Foothills Golf Club's golf course, head back to the clubhouse, for wonderful vistas of the course and the Estrella Mountain Range.

Ladies fun day
Good price thru Under Par, course good condition for May, some greens have issues but ok. Biggest complaint is the surroundings around the course, some beautiful homes and other junky with clothes handing outside on rope, xmas lights till up but the worst is the block wall around the course need to be stripped and repainted HOA is def lacking and the course could use some dead bush cleanup.. HOA or course should address the ugly block fence.
South Mountain Gem
A great course on the south side of South Mountain in a beautiful master-planned community of the Foothills. Entire Staff is upbeat and professional. Beautiful scenery and great course layout.

Good Vslue
We played on Sunday 5.28
The pace was fine, 4 1/2 hours on a Sunday was expected. You run into some dry spots on the fairways, but also expected. The greens were in great shape. The Starter, Stacey, has a energetic personality , great in his role.

In consistent greens
I love the layout but not the greens. They are not consistent. Some are much slower than others. It was difficult to lock in your putting stroke. Overall the rest of the course was in OK condition for this time of year.

The course was in pretty good condition except for the tee boxes.

Great birthday round.
Thank you to the staff at Foothills. They made my birthday something special. The round was at a great pace. 18 in under 4 hours. Preston at outside services was great to chat with and offered wonderful course advice. This will be a course I will play often.

Foothills Golf course
Not a perfect golf course, but far better than many I've played. The Greens were great and the Fairways were fairly manicured. The layout of the course is very challenging and probably not for a novice golfer. From intermediate and above the course can be very exciting.

Normally love this course play it every year when we come down to area. This year the course was in less than the usual good condition.

not good value
The staff was great. The greens and tee boxes need work Fairways were in good shape but overall it was expensive. Just because there are deficiencies with course doesn't mean that other areas aren't good.

Great course
I enjoyed first time playing here. Course conditions were better then previous postings that I read. Greens were rolling very nice,some better then others. Fairways were great. Some brown spots. Bunkers have fresh white sand and play great. Go and enjoy this course now before summer browns the track out.

Foothills out if money
$94 dollar's to play this absolutely the worst coarse in the valley..
No matter if prices are free it's really not worth playing. Greens are diseased, one can only wonder if they are gone by April how they could survive July..
There has to be some finance connection to why they have given up on coarse.. Take a look at the practice area and you'll get the overall picture of this place. Best part is leaving.

Too slow!
Almost 5 1/2 hours for 18 holes? Can’t happen. Marshall has to get on people to keep it moving. A shame - I liked the course layout.

Worst coarse in Phoenix
Really doesn't get much worse, would appear they have run out of money. The best part of the round was leaving.

Definition of Dirt Track
I have nothing good to say about this course… The condition were horrible from Tee to Green. I have to say this was one time where I felt like I wanted to get a refund after my round. I guess this is what happens when you are from out of town. You get tricked into paying 100+ dollars at a horrible course. I played with two locals and they both had stories of when the place used to be nice. Not sure when that was but I would definitely not go here if I was you. Sad !!!
