About
Camelback Golf Club features two courses, Padre and Ambiente (formerly known as Indian Bend Course). The Ambiente Course underwent a major renovation in 2013. Making the course more eco friendly was one of the major goals of the renovation in addition to improving the layout's playability for a wider range of skill levels. The creatively shaped greens offer a variety of different putting options that present interesting risk-reward opportunities. The renovation added 100 acres of native desert and grass areas that add not only beauty but also require a third less water. Rolling terrain is the defining characteristic of the Ambiente Course, from the undulating fairways to dramatic drops in elevation. There are five sets of tees with forward tees that have easier approach angles and no forced carried, allowing even beginners to approach the golf course with confidence.

Summer rate was great
The course is normally WAY over priced in the spring. Definitely worth paying the summer rate.
Camelback
Best course I have played in summer. Fairways are good for July so are the greens. You actually get a true roll compared to a few others around (biltmore links/Adobe, rancho and encanto). Pretty decent yardage wise as well from tips. Pace was nice at 1:50pm as a single. I paid $60with balls and that is a great bargain right now for course conditions compared to other known courses (Phoenician, tpc, troon) and I have read that they seem to be very comparable for summer. You’ll pay a little more but you aren’t gonna get no cow track. GPS on carts, and cart girl making rounds.
Great track and in good summer shape
Tougher tee shots and fair second shots make you think about how you play this track. It’s in great summer shape and I will be back soon. Greens were punched a few weeks ago amd they look it but they don’t play like there punched there rolling great . Just a solid track go enjoy

Always love playing this course. Greens are coming in nicely after overseed. Great course to see where your game is at, regardless of what tee box you play.

Greens Are Slow
Ambiente Course is still healing from greens being aerified almost 2 weeks ago, making them somewhat slow. Everything else was in good shape: tees, fairways and sand traps. Rough was rough. Our threesome completed our round in 3:40. TeeOff rates made it a great value. Give it another week and all should be well.
Typical Phoenix summer conditions
The fairways and greens were both dry and hard. It was hard to get the ball to stick! There were lots of burned out areas of grass on the fairways and several of the bunkers were dry and hard. That is why I gave a 3 star, I would expect better conditions from a higher level course such as this. Otherwise, everything else was 5 star.
