Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course

This course was cart path only and slow pace. Greens were fairly slow too. Obviously courses need to do this maintenance, but a reduced price or heads up would’ve been nice.

Let’s start with the starter. Apropos of nothing he began our conversation with an anti-trans joke. Is that really necessary? Maybe keep religion and politics out of his mouth. Otherwise things were okay. Nice course. Nice restaurant which we hit after the downpour which ended our round. But Bob the starter put me off this course We won’t be back.

I knew that I was booking this reservation one day prior to overseed. The greens, IMO, were a little slow and I could be aggressive. I’ve visited here numerous times and was excited to finally play this course. Staff was great! I’ll be back!!

There were large areas of fairway, fringe, and rough covered in crab grass and nutsedge. The greens were recently punched and very bumpy. A home by the 17th tee box was blaring their music.

Condition and atmosphere on this source is more in line with a $45 greens fee, not 2X that.

I called before I booked to check o status of the course. The golf shop told me the greens were plugged 3 weeks ago and in great shape. They were done more recently and in terrible shape. Most of the sand traps were un-playable. I would have gone to another course if I was told the truth about the terrible shape of the greens and bunkers. At least the starter should have informed us the th bunkers were under repair. Bad form Camelback!!! The fairways were in great shape.

Tees and fairways excellent- greens about 3/4 the way there to perfect. Great track.

Great track! In very good shape even after green’s aerated. Pro shop staff outstanding, friendly and very accommodating. Will definitely go back.

Friendly staff. A little surprised how short the cart ladies skirt was, I saw more than I wanted to, but maybe I'm going to have to get used to this kind of thing, even at really nice courses.

Some summer time blemishes but that’s if I am being super picky. The course is in great shape. Go, you’ll have fun.

Challenging somewhat short course but many ways to get into trouble! My husband and I played midday in August the monsoon month for this area! There is a lack of shade so seemed much hotter than temps! I certainly would recommend every golfer add this to their list of courses played.

This was our first time playing this course ; it was highly recommended by friends . The course was a ‘goat track” ! I. Was shocked how bad it was maintained ; obviously these course was built in a storm drainage area , and it looked like they had a lot of storms . However, the maintenance of the course left a little to desire , the bunkers were awful, the second cut at the greens was not blown properly and the fairways were less then acceptable . I have never played a course in condition before , we will never play this course again .

Signed up for Ambiente - upon arrival told they punched greens a week ago. Tried #1 and was too bumpy so they let me go off Padre instead as it was punched a month ago and was in great shape - thanks.
