Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course

The course is in outstanding condition. The fairways are immaculate and the greens roll as true as you could possibly hope. The desk staff was just a bit humorless, but staff on the course were outstanding. This was a Saturday and when the foursome in front of us quit, we never saw another group on the course. Highly recommended.

A well laid out links style course with well defended sloping greens. The course was in excellent condition and I will definitely ply it again my next time through Scottsdale.

Great golf course, great condition, and we got a great deal using my credit. The staff is not too friendly especially the guy in the Pro Shop as he was not very accommodating. The starter however was very nice.

This was a great course and in fantastic condition when we played it. Weaves down and back and very interesting layout. It is very expensive but worth it one time for sure

This is a spectacular course. Pretty challenging and rather unforgiving. Extraordinary condition, I mean it was immaculate. Not a great score, I’ll be back to try again!

I played Camelback (both Ambiente and Padre) from 12/29 - 1/3. I purchased an unlimited golf package and played about 36 holes a day. Both courses are in incredible shape. Personally, I preferred Ambiente, as the greens were a little too difficult for me on Padre. I got to know many members of the staff over the time I was there and they were exceptional. They were very welcoming and accommodating. I had a blast playing here and I will be back again for sure!

The money they put into this course so worth it. Immaculate shape-- best greens played all year. Smooth and super fast. I have played some nice courses but this exceeds all.

The fairways where in great shape and the greens were fast and perfect, the tee boxes were also plush. The course property is very long and shaped like a paper clip. The fairways are wide enough and forgiving. Some of the traps on the first couple holes had nice sand, after that they were hard as a rock (reason for 4). This is a very nice place, a little older but very well kept.

Wonderful desert links style golf course. A course that has a good number of hazards which will catch errant shots,

There is rough but recovery is very doable. Like any fine course there is plenty of risk-reward choices. Excellent sand traps which will make one pay for that off target shot. Greens need to be read carefully. Beautiful planting as one would expect from a fine course and great wildlife. There is no better way to spend 4 hours.

It has been very wet and so a lot of water on the course, the greens team was doing there best with difficult conditions. Layout is great, my friends and I loved it, the staff are superb.

Just reopened after over-seed and the course looks great. The course is bordered by tall natural desert grass which gives a nice contrasting color to the green fairways. There are lots of risk/reward par 4s that are under 400 yards with well placed bunkers . Some of the bunkers were a bit crunchy around the greens but other than that the condition was perfect. This course is on my “gotta play again list”. Finished around 4 hours . My group had to wait on a few tee boxes but only because the group infront searched for their ball in the tall desert grass. However on the first tee box the ranger tells you to take a lateral drop if your ball goes in there because you wont find it. If your ball goes in the tall grass its gone..

If you are looking for a links course in Arizona, then Ambiente is that course. Great challenging holes and lots of tall fescue grass off fairways. Greens are fast and fun. The best choice you could ever make is to play Ambiente at Camelback.

Almost a links style course but without a lot of the trouble of a links course. The fairway bunkering provides a good challenge when placing the tee shot and around the greens, there is adequate bunkering as well. Most of the holes are straight with the exception of 1 or 2 which can make the play a little boring, but the landing areas are tight and you have to be precise to score well from the tips. The sand wasn't in the best condition out there however, it was pretty hard and playing a blast wasn't really an option because of it. All in all a fun afternoon at a reasonable price.

Buddy came in town treated him to this course and it was a great choice.
