TPC Scottsdale - The Stadium Course

Just an amazing course, amazing conditions, and a pretty decent bargain. This is more than I usually pay to play, so it was a special treat for me, and it felt special. It looks, feels, and plays like a regular PGA tour stop. I guess the only wish I would have is that they would have let my two-some go earlier than our 7:50am tee time. I know there was room for us, not sure why they wouldn't let us. Nonetheless we had a great time on a great course.

Live up to all my expectations! Throughout my round I just kept thinking “Wow... Tiger Woods has played here. Mickleson. Palmer.... etc” definitely a must for any golf fan.

Solid course, conditions were better than most courses this time of the year. No real dry or rough patches, grass has been maintained well (super is obviously doing a good job). Bachelor party slowed us down considerably, but they were having fun and it’s all good. Had a good round overall

The course is everything it should be. It was in great shape, staff was great, and it was challenging yet playable. The famed 16th has much more slope than it appears on TV. My tee shot hit the green but rolled off the right side. I was able to chip it close and save par but I would have been booed off the tee box! If you have a chance, play this course. Even in the middle of summer it was lush green.

Our private course was closed for maintenance & we were playing other course near Scottsdale AZ. What a pleasure to play the TPC course. Challenging but fair. We had a great time. Go Play the course.

Won't find better conditions, the greens and fairways were impeccable. This was definitely a course on my bucket list, of course any PGA tournament course makes that list. And of course the iconic 16 was great.

It's not a hard course, the sand got me into trouble, it's heavier than I expected but fair. The greens run true and remember everything breaks toward the valley :-).

We paid $106 in July so I probably won't play it again. It's nice to say I played it once and birdied number 16 :-).

Had a wonderful time picturing all the shots the pros make. Especially the back 9.

Staff was friendly and the course was in terrific shape. Took advantage of the range, putting and chipping amenities.

Very nice course, fast and true roll on the greens, sand traps were perfect. Fairways and tees were excellent as well as the fairways. Definitely will play again!

I have to qualify what I say by the fact I simply played poorly the entire round. That said, the course was in excellent shape. But, as I have seen on other premier courses, the players somehow feel entitled to leave un-repaired ball marks. Have some courtesy for the players coming behind you--REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS!!! As to the round itself, unless you hit 260 or better off the tee, you are advised to play from the white tees. I played the blue tees (next up from the tips), and I found myself with a long second shot into the green almost every time. I think I would have enjoyed the round more from the white tees and the opportunity to hit some precision clubs now and then into the pins. Long clubs only lead to balls in the bunkers as the pins are usually protected with bunkering. Overall, the course is not really that difficult if length is not an issue. I need to play this course again to shake off a bad round, but I will also definitely take the shorter route from the white tees.

Course rides off reputation from Waste Management Tournament . Much better courses available in Scottsdale for less money
