TPC Scottsdale - The Stadium Course

Staff was friendly and the course was in terrific shape. Took advantage of the range, putting and chipping amenities.

Very nice course, fast and true roll on the greens, sand traps were perfect. Fairways and tees were excellent as well as the fairways. Definitely will play again!

I have to qualify what I say by the fact I simply played poorly the entire round. That said, the course was in excellent shape. But, as I have seen on other premier courses, the players somehow feel entitled to leave un-repaired ball marks. Have some courtesy for the players coming behind you--REPAIR YOUR BALL MARKS!!! As to the round itself, unless you hit 260 or better off the tee, you are advised to play from the white tees. I played the blue tees (next up from the tips), and I found myself with a long second shot into the green almost every time. I think I would have enjoyed the round more from the white tees and the opportunity to hit some precision clubs now and then into the pins. Long clubs only lead to balls in the bunkers as the pins are usually protected with bunkering. Overall, the course is not really that difficult if length is not an issue. I need to play this course again to shake off a bad round, but I will also definitely take the shorter route from the white tees.

Course rides off reputation from Waste Management Tournament . Much better courses available in Scottsdale for less money

9 Handicap with 230 yard drives that decided to play from the Blue Tees. Got the challenge I was looking for. Rough was suitably punishing. Greens were hard to hit and hold. All-in-all just what I wanted...to see what the pros are up against (albeit from the back tees). Forecaddie did a great job of helping us find balls in deep rough. Troy gave helpful tips that my after-the-bike-wreck form could not capitalize upon. Course was great. Next time maybe I can bring a better game.

It was really fun to played the Stadium course with all the grandstands, the green were amazing fast, fairways and tee box were perfect, I really enjoyed my caddie Trent. Overall it was a great day, I’m glad I played the Stadium course

Would highly recommend this course. Obviously it’s kind of expensive.

Greens and fairways are in great condition as they prepare for the WM PGA tournament in February. Stands are up. Each group has the benefit of a caddie. Thanks to Tom for his help with aiming off the tees and reading the greens, superb! Cart path only, be aware. Also allow walking, but must take an individual caddie for $125. Finished just under 4 hours with a 9:20am time. Cool to play the holes we will see on TV in a month.

TPC Stadium was a blast to play with the familiarity of so many holes from annual TV coverage of the WM Phoenix Open. The front nine plays surprisingly long and has a few tight tee shots. The back nine is where some of the most famous holes in modern golf are found in particular, 15-18. 11 is the toughest hole on the property and 14 is second toughest. 15 and 17 are true risk reward holes and would be exciting to play each and every time. Having the majority of grandstands up added an unique and very cool experience. Course was in very good shape although the fairways and greens played much softer than I’m sure they will play come late January. Pace of play was not great as we played in over 4.5 hours. Green fees are on the pricey side but a twilight tee time is a much better value. Range and practice areas are great. I would strongly recommend especially if you can get any kind of bargain for less than the expensive rack rate for the sake of playing holes you can see each year on TV and a great atmosphere being right in the heart of Scottsdale. TPC Stadium is an overall good golf course and facility.

Having a chance to see and play this course before the PGA Waste Management does in early 2020 was a great thrill. Crews were diligently working on the Grand Stands and cosmetics, and never was anyone in the way. The course is beautiful, and the mix of yardages makes the course playable for all abilities. The staff was cheerful and our caddie Matt was awesome.
