Mountain Shadows Golf Course
About
The executive golf course at Mountain Shadows Golf Club in addition to being an excellent course has the added benefit of having a picturesque location nestled in the foothills of Camelback Mountain, and it also offers views of the equally majestic Mummy Mountains. The oleanders and palm trees sprinkled throughout the course enhance the pleasant atmosphere. The golf course's 18th hole boasts beautiful views of the sunset during the twilight hours but the signature hole is the par-3 12th hole. It plays uphill toward Camelback Mountain and over a pond and brook to a double-tiered green that is well protected by bunkers.

Bring your short game?
Eighteen par 3s can mean a little slow going but this course is really fun especially if you have some short hitters that want to play. We play here a couple times every winter. Greens run fast and true with big undulations.
We're happy you joined us.
Our 2.5 to 3 hour round is just right to enjoy some golf and not take up the whole day. Enjoy a meal at our Rusty's Patio with great views of Camelback Mountain. We hope to see you again soon.
Nice views
Fun par 3 with great views of Camelback.. hard to score because of huge green undulations but they re true. Only drawback- not as well conditioned as in previous years. Still overall a good 2 hr. Experience
Nice Par3
This is a very well maintained par 3 course. Staff is very helpful with loading bags onto cart. Richard in the pro shop took the time to orient us to the course as it was our first time playing here. The hole lengths provide a nice variety of distances, and thus, a chance to use all your clubs. The real challenge is the undulating greens! If you do not judge the speed well, you may find the ball rolling back to your feet on uphill shots. Take the time to read the greens and manage your putts. Two of us finished in three hours, so pace of play is good. We would recommend this course and will return.
Very nice short course
Golfed for over 40 years. Never played a short course. Really liked this one. 3 sets of trees. For a lady, I played middle, not front. Course has interesting holes and difficult greens. Will be back
Thank you for the excellent review.
No notification of course tournament being played in AM was first issue.
Secondly there was a frost delay and when we arrived we were told that we would have a 30 minute late start which we accepted but did not tell us that play was so slow that 18 holes on the executive course could exceed 5 hours or offer a rain check or refund. Could not finish prior to dark.
On occasion, the circumstances of the day can "go all wrong" Yes, we had frost and a tournament that played longer than we hoped for. We hope you can join us again to show our true golf experience. Our apologies.
Short Course Big Fun
I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Beautiful mountain. Vistas and water features. Greens were in great shape and very challenging.
Beautiful
Short course with beautiful water features and serious greens
Thank you for the 5 star review.
Cute little course
Great par 3 course. Well taken care of./ course in good shape. Challenging greens. Staff was really terrific. Fun little stop right off the airplane.
Thank you for the positive review. We are great for arrival day, departure day and a fun, fast round. We hope to see you again soon.
Great par 3 course
Got out at 7:30 and had the course to myself. This is golf at its most fun. Camelback in the background makes for a great setting.
Gorgeous views and fun course
This Par 3 course is surrounded by spectacular Mountain View’s and pristine scenery. It is a challenging Par 3 but very fun to play.
The staff and amenities are exceptional. This is one of our favorite fast courses to play. Highly recommend.
Super executive course!
First time in Arizona and we wanted to get off to a great start with golf. We were greeted by a very friendly staff, the course was in amazing shape and the layout was fantastic. There are some challenging holes. Even though the course was short, it was both challenging and fun. The views were amazing! We'll be back!
What a wonderful surprise
Don’t let the yardage fool you! It’s as challenging as you want to make it and great to work on your short game.
Went back and played again!
Golf Trip With Wife
Course was in great shape, good variety of yardage on the holes from the tips thought my wife would hit from forward tees but she played from the middle blocks. Sand traps were in great shape considering the recient weather. Stayed for a drink and lunch on the patio. You know what your booking when you do I had a blast
Scenic executive course
Mountain shadows is a par three course tucked near the base of camelback mountain. The holes offer a variety of lengths and challenges. There is plenty of sand and water. The greens are well maintained and challenging. The four person golf carts are great for a friendly round. It’s also walkable with good push carts available.
