Mountain Shadows Golf Course
About
The executive golf course at Mountain Shadows Golf Club in addition to being an excellent course has the added benefit of having a picturesque location nestled in the foothills of Camelback Mountain, and it also offers views of the equally majestic Mummy Mountains. The oleanders and palm trees sprinkled throughout the course enhance the pleasant atmosphere. The golf course's 18th hole boasts beautiful views of the sunset during the twilight hours but the signature hole is the par-3 12th hole. It plays uphill toward Camelback Mountain and over a pond and brook to a double-tiered green that is well protected by bunkers.

Fun To Play Once
Kind of like a large round of putt putt. The greens have crazy undulation.
The man in the pro shop seemed irritated by our presence, the men at the club drop and the gals at the restaurant were some of the most pleasant and accommodating people I interacted with during my trip that consisted of 15 different courses.
For what it is, at the cost it was. It was fun to do once but it is unlikely I will be back.
Beautiful course
This is a par 3 course with beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. Very nice design and difficult par 3 .
Thank you for the 5 star review.
Don’t mistake this for a full length course.
Very deceptive in the way they don’t disclose this is an executive course.
Thank you for joining us. The course description references that it is an executive course. The Short Course offers a fun, fast round with great views.
Slow, but beautiful
Course was in great shape, but it was definitely slow. Spent a lot of time waiting on people in front of us. This is a tough little par 3 course with some crazy greens.
our guests enjoyed it
we had daughter and son-in-law with us. when we said we are playing a par 3 they were skeptical. I said this is not your usual par 3 course. They really enjoyed it. Staff is great and views are wonderful. We'll all be back.

Outstanding
Greens are tough but the course is in excellent shape.
Fun! Give it a shot!
Great warm up before playing our 2nd 18 of the day on a full-length course that afternoon. Very well done, they thought of everything to manage the course. Challenging and fun. Gorgeous views and clean. $28 for 2 drinks was horribly painful. But it was a great time and friendly staff!
Thank you for joining us at The Short Course at Mountain Shadows. We offer a fun, fast round of golf with the best views in town. All at a fraction of the cost of the best, local regulation courses.
Nice course!
Very good pace, course is in great shape, nice mountains views, challenging greens! My wife enjoyed it!
Thank you for the 5 star review. The Short Course is great for all abilities. Beginner to Tour Player. And great views of Camelback Mountain.
Thank you for the 5 star review. We hope to see you again at our central location in Scottsdale and Paradise Valley.
Bring your short game?
Eighteen par 3s can mean a little slow going but this course is really fun especially if you have some short hitters that want to play. We play here a couple times every winter. Greens run fast and true with big undulations.
We're happy you joined us.
Our 2.5 to 3 hour round is just right to enjoy some golf and not take up the whole day. Enjoy a meal at our Rusty's Patio with great views of Camelback Mountain. We hope to see you again soon.
Nice views
Fun par 3 with great views of Camelback.. hard to score because of huge green undulations but they re true. Only drawback- not as well conditioned as in previous years. Still overall a good 2 hr. Experience
Nice Par3
This is a very well maintained par 3 course. Staff is very helpful with loading bags onto cart. Richard in the pro shop took the time to orient us to the course as it was our first time playing here. The hole lengths provide a nice variety of distances, and thus, a chance to use all your clubs. The real challenge is the undulating greens! If you do not judge the speed well, you may find the ball rolling back to your feet on uphill shots. Take the time to read the greens and manage your putts. Two of us finished in three hours, so pace of play is good. We would recommend this course and will return.
Very nice short course
Golfed for over 40 years. Never played a short course. Really liked this one. 3 sets of trees. For a lady, I played middle, not front. Course has interesting holes and difficult greens. Will be back
Thank you for the excellent review.
Thank you for your feedback. It is a very different golf experience being all par 3's with interesting greens. Both new golfers and experienced golfers have enjoyed the fun and fast round.
