Mountain Shadows Golf Course
About
The executive golf course at Mountain Shadows Golf Club in addition to being an excellent course has the added benefit of having a picturesque location nestled in the foothills of Camelback Mountain, and it also offers views of the equally majestic Mummy Mountains. The oleanders and palm trees sprinkled throughout the course enhance the pleasant atmosphere. The golf course's 18th hole boasts beautiful views of the sunset during the twilight hours but the signature hole is the par-3 12th hole. It plays uphill toward Camelback Mountain and over a pond and brook to a double-tiered green that is well protected by bunkers.

Executive Par 3
This is a par 3 course. Interesting but not what we signed up for and quite expensive given what it is. Very slow play,
Real sand
One of the few Phx area golf courses with genuine fluffy white sand.
Challenging par 3’s
This is a nice course to work for n iron play and putting. Don’t think a par 3 could be such a nice course. You might not use a driver but all your irons can be used. We played from the back tees to make it longer and a bit more fun. It was all that and more!
BEST COURSE EVER!!!
Everything was amazing from the carts to the staff and the layout of the course everything was beautifully green and landscaped and mowed perfectly. All the desert landscape around it was amazing. The views are some of the best that I’ve seen in Arizona so far. I played over 1200 games of golf in my life in Arizona this is one of the best looking courses I’ve seen in a long time. I am a Native of Phoenix born and raised 52 years. Highly recommend you play this par three course. If you can hit the green it’s still very challenging greens.
Wonderful
I play a lot of golf in fancy places. This was a “fit in a few in a short amount of time” but it turned out to be the one I am recommending. Great views, interesting holes, some challenge. I’m coming back and bringing friends.
Nice Short Course
Great place to work on the short game. Teed off very early and beat the crowd. I can see this place getting ‘stacked and packed’ easily. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Yes the greens are tricky and you will not have a flat putt on any hole. Accept it and move on. Overall a great spot, but can get pricey.
Moutain Shadows
On the golf now. app it characterized this course as a 5400 yd course. It was far from that. It was 17 par 3's and one par 2 or about 1200 yds. Not what i expected.. The pin placments were very hard, set up for an afternoon ski s game
Pitch and putt
I realize this is a short course but it was unimpressive other than some of the views. I’m unsure why a par 3 would be attached to a resort but go figure. The layout on the course was bizarre especially the trainwreck that was 14 and 15. The design here felt like an afterthought. I paired up with another guy like myself that never realized this was a pitch and putt especially since it was pricier than a lot of courses in Phoenix and the west valley. Guess they have to pay for the views somehow!
Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry you didn’t find the same enjoyment in our facility that many guests and residents do. The game of golf is ever-changing and we believe we have a fun, unique product that allows players of all skill levels to enjoy a quick golf round, in a stunning location with a wide variety of shots and putting challenges. We are sorry you do not find the same level of enjoyment.
Executive course
Great game. Challenging greens, will definitely play again.
Thank you for the 5 star review.
Beautiful par 3 Course
This beautifull and challenging par 3 course will stimulate your senses as well as raise your competitive spirit. Thoughtfullly designed by the original architect, it has been re-thought and improved by its modern day proprietors .
Thank you for the nice review. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Great experience
Fun short course. Very undulating greens are a challenge to putt, but a lot of laughs. Rough moderate...good practice getting up and down. If you are a beginner and can't get off the tee, this little gem might be a little frustrating. Greens a little thin in spots but roll true. Overall this course provides great practice for your short game. A lot of fun and you can play it in less than 3 hours. And at $35 during Phoenix Open week the price can't be beat.
Thank you for the nice review.
A perfect executive course
Hilly,
The greens make the course tough. Pray for good pin locations
Views are awesome.
Plan for a 3 hour round.
You still have to hit and put and ocassionly chip..
Enjoyable
Thank you for the 5 star review. We're proud of our fun, fast and interesting golf experience with the best view in town.
Nice Executive Course
Friendly staff catered to every request and question we had. Even offered free coffee before we started the round.
We hope to see you again soon.
very scenic par 3, beautifully landscaped
Lovely course for a quick Par 3. It was not busy so
I was done playing in 2 hours.
Thank you for the 5 star review.

Thank you for the feedback and will correct the Golf Now app. To clarify, we have 18 par 3's and a par 2 bonus putting hole. Our yardage is 2310 with holes ranging from 193 yards to a challenging 70 yards. It is a very different golf experience being all par 3's with interesting greens. Both new golfers and experienced golfers have enjoyed the fun and fast round.
