The executive golf course at Mountain Shadows Golf Club in addition to being an excellent course has the added benefit of having a picturesque location nestled in the foothills of Camelback Mountain, and it also offers views of the equally majestic Mummy Mountains. The oleanders and palm trees sprinkled throughout the course enhance the pleasant atmosphere. The golf course's 18th hole boasts beautiful views of the sunset during the twilight hours but the signature hole is the par-3 12th hole. It plays uphill toward Camelback Mountain and over a pond and brook to a double-tiered green that is well protected by bunkers.

The best birthday round of golf ever!

The best birthday round of golf ever! In years past I would play The old course once a week. During the interim I’ve had many surgeries and am now getting back into the game. This course has changed in so many ways I can’t count them, it is nothing short of fabulous. It’s an entirely new course although a short par three , It has many challenges, enjoyable challenges with the same wonderful views. I can’t wait to get back !

Nicely Renovated

This was our first time playing Mountain shadows since it’s a big renovation. The golf shop a great staff are wonderful and it’s fun to have an 18 hole three parcourse to work on our irons and short woods. Course was a bit dry and may be due to upcoming reseeding. Lots of mounds but made it fun. Got a Golf Now hot deal which really made experience great.

We got a great rate through Golf Now and played 18 holes in about 2 1:2 hours. The staff was very friendly and the golf course was in great shape. You can’t find another course that offers the fantastic views of Camelback Mountain! The food at Thr Hearth was delicious!! We will be back!

The staff was very friendly and took the time to talk to us. Encouraged us to take a walk around the hotel to see what is available. The resort is very nice as well as the course. The course is all par 3. Situated north of Camelback mountain with beautiful views. The cart girl was around 3 times and provided cups of ice for the water bottles that were provided for us in the cooler. Will play this course again.

Got a golf itch that needs to be scratched without a major time commitment ? The Short course at Mountain Shadows will more than scratch that itch. Sure , 18 par threes can be a walk in the park, but your iron play, short game and putting better be in synch because the Short course is long on challenge and any tap in birdies will be prized during your post round quaff at Rusty's . And with the extra time saved you will make that ever present "honey do " list a lot lighter by the end of the day.

Very well maintained, but not marked anywhere for yardage off the tee boxes. Sprinkler heads have no markings. The new layout is confusing at times especially on holes 13-15. The greens are quite tricky, think it’s just not a good $value for the price, even if a resort course.
