Mountain Shadows Golf Course
About
The executive golf course at Mountain Shadows Golf Club in addition to being an excellent course has the added benefit of having a picturesque location nestled in the foothills of Camelback Mountain, and it also offers views of the equally majestic Mummy Mountains. The oleanders and palm trees sprinkled throughout the course enhance the pleasant atmosphere. The golf course's 18th hole boasts beautiful views of the sunset during the twilight hours but the signature hole is the par-3 12th hole. It plays uphill toward Camelback Mountain and over a pond and brook to a double-tiered green that is well protected by bunkers.

Very enjoyable
Staff was great and the course was a lot of fun. Condition of the course was good. Overall- we look forward to our next time. While this is not a real significant comment, I would suggest over the next couple of years an effort be made to flatten the tees. So many of them are rounded. Also, it would have been nice to have range reflectors on the flagpoles so as to render the GPS range finder useful.
Love this course!
One of our favorites! Great place to practice your short game. Pace is always under 3 hours and its in great shape.
Fun Short Course
This course is a great value if you want to work on your short game, are a beginner, or no longer are able to play a regulation-length course. Greens and fairways were in good condition. Bunkers were reasonably placed and always had at least one rake. The par-3s were of a variety of length, which added challenge. Pace of play was much slower than the 3 hrs we had wished for, and the views of Camelback Mtn as a backdrop made the pace more tolerable. Sorry to hear the driving range practice facility is going to be plowed under! Pro shop staff were all friendly and welcoming.
Short
This is a great course for working on your short game...only 2 par 4 holes
Nice Pitch and Putt
Perfect Greens Fast and true. Tee boxes and greens are very close to each other.
Course is in great condition!
The course was in great condition ...... both fairways and greens.
Great scenery and great course to practice your short game.
Wasn't easy to find. Major redevelopment was underway, but was only a tad disruptive on the first hole.
All on all it is a fun course with great mountain scenery.
excellent conditions
We so enjoy this course and the customer service that we get.
Great Course
I brought my teenage son to this course. This was only his third time golfing and we had a great time. This a great course for a beginner and has a few challenges to get them thinking. Would highly recommend this course to all people.
great condition and price
course is in great condition, price is great right now,
staff was very friendly and I was paired with a
super couple thus had a fun round
pins are tough on Tuesdays as they have a skins
tourney later in the day
Had a great day
Good course as I had not play for two years. Will return.
Great time
Greeted with a smile and had no worries the entire round. This little gem is perfect for someone that wants a very relaxed round on high quality turf.
I enjoyed every hole and will be thinking of this place as one of my favorites. Be ready to chill and enjoy a nice round with some of the best views in the city.
A wonderful course.
The best 'executive' course I've played. Extremely friendly staff. Well priced. Nice pace of play. Beautiful slopey greens. We'll be back.
Nice for the $$
Great rates
Nice little course
Friendly staff
I would recommend this course to improve your short game
pretty little course
pretty little course but it's all par 3's except for 2 holes. very well taken care of with beautiful views. challenging at times. appeared to have lots of beginner golfers
Executive course
Excellent course to work on your irons and putting the best bang for your buck this time of the year in Phoenix .
excellent warm up course
We just arrived in AZ from the snowy Eastern US and found this course perfect to warm up our golf prior to playing expensive courses. The course had some interesting holes, nice greens and nice view of mountain in the background.
Great little place.
This is not your average Executive course. Beautiful venue, amazing conditions, and difficult holes. We all loved the place. The pace of play was somewhat slow but it was worth it.
