The Talking Stick Golf Club, designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, offers two uniquely different courses that each offer many options according to your playing skill. The Piipaash course (previously known as South at Talking Stick Golf Club), with its tree-lined fairways and raised greens defended at the sides offers a more straightforward style of play than the O'odham Course (formerly known as North at Talking Stick Golf Club).

A round of golf on the Piipaash Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club kicks off on a par-4 hole that measures 405 yards from the Black tees. Three long par-5 holes ensures that power golfers will get their kicks, with the fifth hole coming in at 516 yards, the 1fourth measuring 541 and the 16th playing to 548. The round of golf concludes on a relatively shorter par 4 that measures 323 yards.

After a round of golf on the North Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club, head back to the Wildhorse Grille for drinks and a bite to eat.

As the title says, the staff was extremely unfriendly from the clubhouse to the starter to the cart girl.

Specifically, the starter acted like we were a bunch of 14 year old who never played golf before while the cart girl gave us attitude when we said we didn’t want a drink.

The course itself didn’t have any differences between the fairway (wide open tough to lose a ball) and the rough, it was either greens, fairways or the desert. The greens were a little quick but overall that was the best part of the course.

The bugs were absolutely relentless which almost made us stop through nine, it’s so bad that the clubhouse sells bug spray but fails to mention it’s buggy season.

It took us 5 and a half hours to finish the round during twilight and the pay was $105. This was the worst course I played down here and was almost as expensive as a morning round at McDowell Mountain (which is significantly better)

course was in great shape and fun to play but on the back nine we had 4 groups on the same hole 5 times.

very poor pace of play due to cart path only rules. totally ruined any rhythm. need to spread out start times when there is cart path only.

What scenic beauty!!!

This course was outstanding from a pace of play to level of challenge!! It was a great experience!!

The weather was even perfect! Some of the holes had very unique layouts too! Even the signage was perfect… sometimes you go to a course and are challenged to find the next hole. Cart girl was friendly but not really frequent, but no big deal. Staff was a real team effort and play was quick!

Note- they sell insect repellent at the pro shop- buy some or bring your own!!! Little gnats everywhere and annoying!

Great overall day!!!!
