About
Great Eagle Golf Club, rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona, is a championship course in the West Valley. Although it has a traditional design there are several unique and challenging elements that come into play such as undulating mounds that cause uneven lies and well-guarded greens. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course offers three sets of tee boxes so that there is some flexibility regarding levels of challenge, but overall the course is suitable for any player. The Great Eagle Golf Club, in addition to the course, also offers both a chipping green and a putting green.

Unfortunate…
Our cart was dead between the first and second hole. Spoke to the ranger, 20 minutes later, still no cart. Walked back by ourselves and got a new cart and swapped out. A lot of wasted time… otherwise great course.

Course layout is great. Course conditions are okay. Beer and food afterwards was excellent.
Awesome
This course has definitely made a turn for the better. No better valve in Surprise. Love this course and how well they are taken care of it now
Problem with Cart Path Only
Because of over seeding, we had to keep our cart on the path. I believe that when we were on the other side of the fairway, somebody rode by on a bicycle through the golf course and removed our range finder from our cart. We traveled backwards to the group behind us and they hadn't seen it. I have no proof of this but it seems logical to us. Non golfers should not be allowed on the course. I will resume playing at Great Eagle once the carts can return to the fairways..
Pace of play
Ran in to a threesome that was playing real slow. I don’t know if the ranger told them to speed up but it made for a long round. Other then that the course was great.
good layout
Greens were terrible. Can expect long because of overseeding , but the cut was very uneven and not filled in. More seed. was put down. Looks like they opened to soon. Would not recommend to anyone at this time.
Overseading
I am not sure but think the over seeing was just over. The fairways looked very good. Was cart path only . The greens where a little bumpy and should be cut more. We had a great time. Overall it was a nice round.
Great Eagle Again
First round after overseeding. It was a little shaggy but in great shape for the first round after reopening.
Just Overseeded
Just reopening after overseeding. Cart path only every hole. Lots of mowing going on, grass clippings everywhere. Greens and tee boxes are shaggy. Traps are unplayable. Give the course a month before playing it.
Ok course
Still had fun. Course in ok shape. No beer cart girl.
Good
The Course was in condition. No matter what other people say. The Fairways were good . We play her a lot.
