Arizona Traditions Golf Club

My main complaint is that many of the pin placements were on the edge of where the green fell away causing your ball to end up several feet if not yards from the pin. The pin placement really slowed down the pace of play as golfers had to take several more strokes before holing their ball.

This is very straight forward course. As fairly typical for a desert course, the tee boxes, fairway and greens were watered and green; while, the rest was dry and brown. A few of the green were marred with what looked like water damage (like a small stream ran through it). Overall, it was a good value, and I enjoyed the round.

Tee areas were poorly maintained as were all the off fairway areas

I love this golf course! Always have. My only issue is that is very, very slow!

We were the second group after a youth girls walking tournament after noon. First they closed the grass part of the driving range and required use of the pads instead of grass which made it very difficult to warm up. Then the pace of play behind the girls was so slow it took us 3.5 hours to do the front nine. The tournament staff even stood on the green of the holes before we could tee off on each hole to keep separation from us. Couldn't get into a rhythm, was extremely frustrating. I even timed one of the tournament players lining up her 3 ft putt at 4 min. Would love to play again but paying the premium price for that experience was aggravating.

I have played AZ Traditions a few times now. We usually just look for hot deals and play on a budget. Every time we have played Arizona Traditions it’s an aggravating experience from pulling into the parking lot until hitting the first tee box. Staff is rude all over the course. The woman working the desk at pro shop is always snappy and aggressive. After our first experience my girlfriend avoids going into the pro shop completely. The gentleman working golf carts was short and sort of talked down to us as well. We are a couple in our mid twenties and just want to enjoy the game. Often times we have great experiences with course staff, but that definitely doesn’t happen with Arizona traditions. Unfortunately this course has become a last resort for us trying to get in a round last minute looking for a hot deal. If there are ANY other options to play then I would recommend steering clear of Arizona traditions.

Other than staff, the course conditions are usually decent and we didn’t have any issues with pace of play.

The course had nice fairways and was playing at a good pace. I would definitely play the course for the price.

Great time on a beautiful course that fits every game.
